Welcome to Double H Longhorns,
where we
LOVE GOD, LOVE KIDS and LOVE TEXAS LONGHORNS!

2016 show team

Stephen & Kim Head (Double H Longhorns) are blessed to have some wonderful young ladies showing our cattle. Pictured above (photo by Ginny Henderson Photography) is our 2016 show team, which consisted of (from left to right) Clarice Francis, Laney Hebert, Sara Jennings, Lydia Salsbury and Julia Salsbury. Besides looking pretty (and don't they look pretty!), these girls are very talented showmen, regularly winning their showmanship classes. On several occasions they swept 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in a single show. We are very proud of these young ladies.

The 2019/2020 version of the show team consists of Clarice, Sara and Julia, along with newcomers Sarah Heimeyer, Sarah Buentello, Lulu Buentello, Alex Staples, Autumn Almond, Grace McDaniel and Hadley Zajicek

The sign says it all ... I love my girls!

We have been raising Texas Longhorns since 1990, the same year our first child was born. Our kids, Kathryn and Matthew, and the cattle grew up together, making for a fun couple of decades. Our primary interest is exhibiting on the Texas Longhorn show circuit. We began showing in 1998 when Kathryn was only eight (8) years old and in the third grade. After Kathryn won her first belt buckle (at the Houston Livestock Show), Matthew decided he wanted to try it. He started as a six (6) year old Kindergartener. Over the years Kathryn and Matthew won several Grand Championships and numerous Showmanship buckles.

The kids are now grown and have left home but we haven't slowed down any with our cattle interests. We are enjoying sharing our love of Texas Longhorns with a new generation of showmen. Look us up at one of the TLBAA shows in Texas and we will introduce you to a fine group of kids who are currently showing cattle for us.

Please take a look around our site. Whether you are looking for show calves, good Texas Longhorn mama cows, colorful trophy steers, or good showmen to exhibit your animals, we may have what you are looking for. If you are in the area of Angleton, TX (40 miles south of Houston on Highway 288), please feel free to stop in. We enjoy showing off our cattle, and we love visiting with people who appreciate Texas Longhorns.

Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all you mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. - Matthew 22:37-39
