STRAIGHT OFF THE STREETS OF BANGKOK:
G.I. RELICS
I managed to locate a few USA iron roaming the streets of Bangkok, Thailand,
back in May and June 1992. The USA iron featured were once owned
by American G.I.s that were stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam conflict.
The bases that were used by the USAF included Udon Thani, Ubon Ratchathani,
U Taphao, and Takhli Air Base. I managed to snap a few pics of some
USA iron, which are still driven on the streets of Bangkok:

A 1966 Chevrolet Caprice hardtop sedan, parked on the street

A 1971 Ford Mustang, still driveable (this pic was snapped in the Chengkon
District, well known as the auto parts district of Bangkok

A salvage parts facility, with diesel engines (Chengkon District of Bangkok,
Thailand)

A 1970 Mustang, trying to be a wannabe Rice Burner (note the quad headlights
and grille (pic is of poor quality). My uncle's Cortina is in the
background.

A 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass sedan, seen in Bangkok traffic

A 1974 Lincoln, seen in the parking lot of a Buddhist temple. Who
says that American land barges only exist in Canada or Australia?

A 1972 or 1973 Chevrolet Camaro, seen parked on the street, located near
my aunt's workplace, a bank.

A Ford M151 Jeep, now a civilian vehicle
