1975 Nova Rehab (12.02 - present)

12.13.02 - 5.0 pre-installation sequence (oil pan, damper, and pulleys were installed before the motor was lowered)

5.0 installation (12.14.02); the valve covers on the motor are the original set which came with the motor.

1.18.03 - starter shimming (after the installation of a new flexplate) - the starter motor nose assembly resulted in a tight fit between the thrust washer and flywheel teeth.  As a result - a brick of shims were used to obtain the .035 (inserted between the starter drive and flywheel teeth) clearance - a 1/8" drill bit should fit between the flywheel teeth and starter pinion shaft.

1.18.03 - 4-speed shifter hole (originally done in March 1992)

4.5.03 - power steering pump installation (steering box came from a 91 Camaro RS w/16" rims)

The PS pump pulley seen in the pic came from the Montrose Patriot art vehicle (81 Blazer 4 x 4) - at the time of photography, a 15445 fan belt was used (crank, fan, PS pump).  Unfortunately, a set of pulleys from a derelict 87 Monte Carlo SS were swapped in place of the crank and water pump pulleys seen.

pulley swap (8.24.03)

(8.24.03) 76 Skylark core support - it was swapped in place of the original, which was bent from a front-end collision back in 1994.  Note - when remounting the A/C condenser - a local A/C supply facility should stock a set of Well-Nuts #E-1420 - these are the rubber cushions which came with 70-81 Camaros with factory A/C.
