Bastrop Senior Center Quilters

The Senior Center was organized in 1988 and met at the Manor House for 2 years. Bobbie Terrell is our local quilt historian, designer, and creator. Proceeds from the 1989 quilt project, (Peace Baskets) purchased the original 18 tables and 175 chairs for the permanent home of the Bastrop Senior Center at 1008 Water street.

We have an average of 8-10 people quilting on our quilt. We had beginner quilt lessons last fall which has added new quilters this year.

    The Quilters

Each year the gifted Quilters at the Bastrop Senior Center design and create a quilt which is raffled off as the center's main fundraiser of the year.
