MDA Labor Day Telethon
Shreveport/Texarkana
Sept. 1 and 2, 2002
We want to encourage each counselor to please get involved with the Telethon in your area. It cost $525.00 for a camper to attend MDA Summer Camp, and we would like for you to assist in raising this amount for your camper. In the Ark - La - Tex area, there are two Telethon locations. The largest is in Shreveport/Bossier at the Bossier Civic Center.
The opening air time will be at 10:30 p.m. Sunday night (Sept. 1). There will be a "patient party" prior to this time and the campers and counselors are invited to attend.
The Texarkana Telethon will be held at the Holiday Inn in Texarkana on State Line. The air time for this location will begin Monday (Sept. 2nd) morning.
Any counselor in this area wishing to assist with this event, please contact the office in Shreveport/Bossier.
