Memorial High School

I just graduated from Memorial High School and now plan on attending Victoria College in January. I took a semester off, because I just couldn't quite stand the thought of going back to school yet. But now I am ready to "continue my education."

Here is a little history on how MHS came to be: See, it used to be two different schools. I went to Victoria High School, and was a member of the Stingaree marching Band. There was also Stroman High School, and they were the Raiders. (don't ask about the stingarees. it is a version of stingray). To make a very long story short, the schoolboard came together three years ago (my sophomore year) and decided to put the two schools together. Once rival enemies, now united.. Crazy--? In a lot of ways yes, hehe, but we got over it.

A lot of people only wanted to look for the negative things in the whole idea, and I was one of those people. Now I see advantages in either way, and also disadvantages. Like now, there are only juniors and seniors at the SR. campus, and it sure was nice not to have freshmen running around, taking up the whole hallway! (no offense to any freshmen, I was a fish once too) The lunchlines weren't nearly as long (at least at the sr. campus...), and lots more. I don't feel like writing all of them.

There were some bad points too though. Like, the band for instance. To make another long story short, I decided band was no longer fun, and that I wanted to try different things the rest of my high school career.

My junior year, I was involved in helping make the very first yearbook of Memorial. Yeah I know, who cares... but still, it is special to me, cause I helped :o) My senior year was great! I didn't do anything really special, except for the work program. I was in H.E.C.P. and no, I don't have any idea what that stands for. hehe... What it meant to me was that I went to school everyday at 7:25, and got out at 11:24. I loved it! Then I went to work, and had the evening off! Okay, so you are probably bored about hearing about all that, so I will just stick up some pictures of graduation, and my senior pics, and be done with it :o) YAY!

Graduation night: Stefanie, me, Megan, and Nicole

This was taken graduation night, before I walked across the stage. This is my personal favorite of my senior pictures. I've been told I look like Helen Hunt in this picture...but you can decide for yourself.

This is mostly everyone else's favorite. I guess it is alright.

No, this is not a picture of my sister and me, like most other people say. It is just me, laying on a mirror. But I can't even begin to count the number of people who thought I had included my sister in my senior portraits! AAAGGHHHH!!!
