Sunshine Band

Corp Raiders

Band 10

The Band are in a fight for third place and a spot in the playoffs to defend their consecutive titles.  However, they seem to find themselves in something of a similar spot every year and find a way to win and make it in.  The Corporate Raiders are fourth in scoring and sit at 1-7, which seems like a damn lot of bad luck.  I'm picking the bad luck to continue, as the Raiders seem resigned to another year in the cellar and look like they're already preparing for next season.  There's a chance they could be mathematically eliminated with four games left, which is quite a feat.

Fightin' Roos

Battlin' Wookies

Roos 5

The Roos are another one of those teams that seem to put it together as the season progresses.  After a rough 2-3 start, they've won 3 straight and turned things around.  All the teams in the Flair division are still in competition, so the games become more crucial as we get to this point.  The Wookies don't need to lose.  They do have Clinton Portis' emergence going for them, as he's scored in double figures each of the last three weeks as a starter, and they do get Marshall Faulk back this week, so there's some reason for hope.

El Chuapcabra

Fighting Bass

El C 15

El Chuapcabra have led the division since the start, while the Bass started off hot and have fizzled of late.  Add to that the fact that Priest Holmes is off this week, and thing don't look so good for Mark.  The Bass are in last place, and they can basically write the season off if they lose this week.  Cliff's moving into a house, so maybe that playoff losing will stay behind at the apartment.  Also, I've just got a little mental image for you guys.  Imagine Cliff carrying a diaper bag.  I bet he's so cute.

Lady Pioneers

Goodfellas

LP 15

Speaking of guys that have carried a diaper bag in their day, Doc comes into this one with a chance to really throw a wrench into things in the Anderson division.  If Doc wins a low scoring game, it's entirely possible that Kirk will be the league's highest scoring team and Doc will be the league's lowest scoring team yet they'll be tied at 5-3.  I guess you just play the schedule you're given (or something like that).  If I have anything to say about it, they'll both be tied for second place at 5-3.  However, when picking the game, I can't deny the fact that Kirk's scored 140 more points this year.

Sweet Chin Music

River Bats

Bats 5

The Bats are having one of their better regular seasons and appear to be challenging for their first division title since they won the league several years back.  Knowing how my teams tend to play, I fully believe that they'll find a way to screw it up, so that's why I'm hesitant to pick myself by too many points this week against Sweet Chin Music.  Sweet Chin had a nice 115 in the loss and have the greatest running back of all time on their team, so it's hard to count them out.  Also, they need a win to keep any kind of contact with the division's top three teams.
