Legal Stuff:

I do NOT accept any responsibility for the use or misuse of Scanarator. Scanarator was written to help Network Admins/Engineers audit the networks they administer and was NOT written for hacking purposes. Scanarator was not intended to be used for malicious reasons. Please do not use Scanarator to attack the helpless people on the internet who simply do not know how to protect themselves.

CREDITS:
Some of the code of the computer scan portion of Scanarator was derived from nbtscan written by alla@sovlink.ru.
Some of the code of the NT password grind of Scanarator was derived from Renaud Deraison deraison@cvs.nessus.org  smb login.
Scanarator only runs on NT/2000 it will NOT run on Win9x or ME.

Most of Scanarator's functionality is straight forward but here are a few things that may need some explanation.

This is a browse button for a number of different files, like computer scan file, output file and port list file. You select and existing file or type in a new name. This is for editing a file. It launches the file into notepad so you can view/edit the file.
Check this to open the text output file with notepad when the scan is complete, to view the results of the scan. Check this if you want to create a tab delimited file of the scan results. This is for importing into Excel etc.... (see the append to output file)
Check this if you want to append to an existing output file. It also appends to the tab file. If you choose not to append to file you will be prompted to overwrite the output file but the tab file will be overwritten without prompting. Check this to add a 1/1000 of a second delay between launching threads. This doesn't seem like much but it can help out on slow connections. Future releases may have a variable time delay.
Check this to save some of the settings when you close the dialog box. It does not save all settings but many of  them are saved. Check IP Range to define a range of IP addresses to scan. Only class B or smaller is accepted. Check Computer Scan File to select the results file from the computer scan portion of Scanarator. This will save a ton of time on the shares, windoz and users scans. Check Single IP to give and IP address or computer name to scan. Examples: computername, www.whatever.com, 1.1.1.1 and so on.
Other Info:
Scanarator allows you to set the thread count fairly high but this is not always the desired thing to do. Play with the thread count, timeout and retires to get the correct settings for your current connection. On a LAN it is usually ok to just let it fly but not always. I have completely saturated my VPN/Firewall/NAT connection to a remote network because of too many threads.

The share grind is for Win9x only, NOT NT, and works on the shares that have password level security.

In the Message Send portion of Scanarator you can use the /USERS to send a message to all users attached to your computer or you can use the /DOMAIN to send to the domain you are logged into, BUT you have to use the command line button in order for this to work.
