Tips are on in
the PopV application so
hold the mouse over a button for a brief description.
This button
moves a verse in the list box to the top of the list.
This button
moves a verse up one in the list box.
This button
moves a verse down one in the list box.
This
button moves a verse in the list box to the bottom of the list.
This button is
to delete a verse from the list and from memory.
After you enter
a reference and a verse hit this button to add it to the list. You do NOT
use this to modify an existing reference and verse. Modification to a
reference or verse is automatic. All you do is highlight the verse in the
list box and make your modifications in the reference or verse and the
changes will be saved automatically. If you hit this button it will add
another copy of the verse you are trying to modify.
This button is
to add a new verse. If you have a verse highlighted in the list box and
you want to add a new verse hit this button and the reference and verse
boxes will be cleared so you can enter you data. Once you enter the data
hit the add button to add the new verse.

This is where you define the time limit, how often to show a verse,
whether or not to show the verses in order or randomly and if you want the
popup verse to be on top of all other windows.
When you are done setting up your verse file
remember to go to the menu and save your work.

If you select the menu item "add
from file" in the Verses File Setup dialog box you will get this
dialog box which allows you to select verses from any other verse file to
add to your new verse file. You can also search verses for a key word,
such as wisdom, and then add those verses as well.
This button
adds verses from the right list box, the verses from a file, to the left
list box, verse to be added to your new file. You can add a single verse
or you can highlight a number of verses and add them at the same time.
This button adds the verse and the reference, in the picture above this
button was used to add Genesis 1:1 - 1:10 ONLY.
This is the
group button. It will add a number of verses to a single reference. For
example if you want to show Genesis 1:11 - 1:20 all at once then you would
group these verses together. You must enter a new description for these
verses. If you are using more than one Bible file then you might want to
make reference to the Bible version as well, such as "NIV Genesis
1:11 - 1:20".
This is to
delete a verse that you have added but no longer want in your file. |
