HTM Output Directory:
This is the directory that the HTM files will be placed in when you
create your gallery. Usually something like c:\intepub\wwwroot\pages for IIS servers.
Thumb Nails Directory or File:
This is the path to either the directory containing your images or
the path to the file containing the info on your thumb nails.
Use Thumbnails File:
You can create a thumb nails file that allows you to select which thumb nails you want to include on the pages and also will allow you to sort the files and add a description or a script reference.
Thumb nails file allows you to make your gallery more personable and
custom. If, however, you want to create a gallery very quickly and you
are not really concerned about the order of your images then you will
probably not check this. The renaming portion of IGC can help you order
your images if you want to create a quick gallery.
Make sure to look at the example files. Look at
example 2 and hold the mouse over
the first 4 images at least. They should all be different and the 4th
image uses the windows alt = "description" syntax, all the
others use my java script for their description.
Images:
Check the thumb nail types you want to include when creating your galleries. This is useful if you have gif files in the thumb nail directory but only want to use the jpg or jpeg files.
Thumbnail Web Path:
This is the web path to the thumb nails that will be used in the htm files. The browse button will return a web path but it will
only be partially correct. I included the browse button to give you a starting place for the web path it was not intended to return the correct path without some modification.
For example: it may return
inetpub/wwwroot/images/billy/Thumb nails
If you web page are in the inetpub/wwwroot/ then you will have to adjust your path to this
images/billy/Thumb nails
If you web page is in the inetpub/wwwroot/pages then you will have to adjust your path to this
../images/billy/Thumb nails
Full Size Images Web Path:
This is the web path that the Thumb nails href will point to for the full size images. Again this will not be the completely correct path returned by the browse button.
Background Image Web Path:
If you want you galleries to have a background image then this is where you assign it. This
will override the page color if you choose both an image and color for you galleries background. Again this will not be the completely correct path returned by the browse
button.
Thumbnail Prefix:
If your thumb nails have a prefix that your full size images do not have then enter it here.
For example:
If you image is named image1.jpg and your thumb nail is named t_image1.jpg then you would enter the t_ in the thumb nail prefix. IGC will remove that prefix when creating the link to the
Open First Page When Done:
This will open the first page of your gallery after your run IGC. This
is very useful to look at your gallery and check links. If something is
wrong then go back to IGC and make the corrections and the new page
should show up in the same window for you to view again. This saves a
lot of time when you are tweaking you gallery pages. |
