PRELIMINARY NEW BREEDS AND ADVANCED NEW BREEDS
According to TICA Standing Rule 203.19, all Preliminary New Breeds (PNB) and Advanced New Breeds (ANB) must have a TICA registration number prior to any TICA show. No Preliminary New Breed or Advanced New Breed may enter a show with a "registration pending"
SHOW HOTEL
The Camino Real at 101 S. El Paso Street, El Paso, TX 79901. Their website is www.caminoreal.com. They will hold a block of rooms until January 28th, and exhibitors MUST identify themselves to get the special show rate of $79.00 plus tax single or double. Reservations can be made through the website or by calling 1-800-769-4300 or 915-534-3099 from 8am-6pm MST.
SHOW HALL
The El Paso Convention and Performing Arts Center. Located at One Civic Center Plaza, Santa Fe Street and San Antonio Ave in El Paso. Phone is 915-534-0600. The show hotel and show hall are catty-corner from each other and within walking distance.
SHOW RULES/AWARDS
All exhibitors agree by entry to abide by and uphold the show rules of TICA. Show rules and registration information may be obtained from TICA Executive Office, PO Box 2684, Harlingen, TX 78551. Cost is $7.
REGISTRATION RULES
To register your cat with TICA, send a copy of registration certificate showing you as owner of cat with a 5 generation certified pedigree with a check for $12 to TICA, PO Box 2684, Harlingen, Texas 78551. Aloow 4 to 6 weeks for processing. Per TICA rules, you may show your cat one time without a registration number; however, the cat must be registered before any wins will be scored by TICA. This show will be scored for TICA International and Regional wins.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
All fees are payable in US funds. Please make checks payable to Compadres Cat Club. All fees are non-refundable and must be paid even if the cat is absent. A copy of TICA registration listing all owners must be sent with the entry for cats that are co-owned to be eligible for the multi-cat discount. Exhibitors residing outside the US may deduct 15% from the entry fee. There will be a $25 charge for returned checks, plus the original check amount.
BENCHING
Every effort will be made to accomodate benching requests, but the club cannot make any guarantees.
CAGES
Single cage - 21"x21"x21" / Double cage - 21"x21"x45". Please bring your own cage covers. Cages must be covered on three sides and the top. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE BRINGING YOUR OWN CAGE.
CAT AND PEOPLE SUPPLIES
Cat litter and food will be provided. Please bring your own litter pans and cat food dishes.
EXHIBITION/FOR SALE CATS
"Exhibition/For Sale" Cages will be available to exhibitors only and are SINGLE CAGES. You must submit an entry form for each "Exhibition/For Sale" entry...mark the entry Exhibition/For Sale across the top of the form. All cats must have catalog numbers to be in the show hall (whether named or not). Kittens MUST be 3 months old to enter the show hall. Kittens for sale MUST be litter registered and proof of age MUST be available to the club. NO KITTENS or CATS may be confined to carriers, either displayed or under bench, during show hours. Please provide a copy of the sales slip to be given a the door so the cat may be removed from the show hall.
HOUSEHOLD PETS
...over 8 months of age must be neutered or spayed.
HEALTH RULES
This is a non-vetted show. All cats must be fully immunized and tested negative for FeLV. All entries must be free of fungus, fleas, and ear mites. It is advised that all cats be bathed and groomed prior to benching. ALL CLAWS MUST BE CLIPPED PRIOR TO BENCHING. Cats from a cattery that has had a contagious or infectious illness within 21 days of the show may not be entered.
RING CLERKS
Please indicate on your Summary Form if you will be available to clerk. Compensation will be made at the end of the show.
