Hybrid picking,

I'm really not to sure on this but I assume that it is picking with another finger not the pick.

(Geez, good assumption huh!)

Okay, its pretty much to Downstroke with the pick and upstroke with your middle finger. (or ring)

(or pinky) (Or if you have another one yeah, that one too!!!) By doing this it makes it possible to

pick: A D A D instead of normal alternative A A A A. (of course A stands for the A string and D for the D)

as fast as you can alternatively pick! But of course you can do it father apart than just A to D! Try A G, A B etc.

Also, I have a weird way of doing this technique, I cut my middle fingers nail like a pick. And if you're going to try

this no matter how strong your nails are the strings will devour them over time, so put some kind of strengthener on it.

If anyone wants a picture of my nail Ill send them one, (that's kind of weird!) So they can see how I do mine. It

helped me a lot!!! It could do the same for you. However, there is a downside to it, I have found that it makes it a bit

difficult to tap with the nail in the way, well, it comes down to choice, in my opinion Id choose hybrid over tapping any day!
