How can it be that 50 years have passed?

Then........and now.....

June 19, 2004 our friends and family gathered in our home to celebrate with us 50 years of blessings. Though it took some doing to convince us to have a party......
a party we did have !!!

Thank each of you for your attendance, your cards, calls and well wishes.
You made this a day to remember.

This is my college roommate, Clydetta Long Courtney, who was a bridesmaid, though she tells everyone she was my flower girl !!
(Guess that would make sense...she always called me, "Granny" !)

She is signing the beautiful guestbook our daughter, Tina, made.
It has pictures from our dating years to now.

You see my wedding dress on display in the picture.
Mother made my dress. It has been worn a total of 7 times....in five weddings.
The marvel is that all five of the marriages stayed intact.
I believe, that with the dress went Mother's blessings.

Jivin' to, "It Had To Be You " (I told you we had fun !)	Grandson, Brian....no he is not behind bars. He stood on the balcony to sing for us.
We are dancing to, "Anniversary Waltz". Thank you, Brian. You added great atmosphere to the occasion.

Another huge highlight of our party was the outstanding video Ray made.
He not only included many pictures with music, but he also did an on camera interview with us reminising about these 50 years. I know we enjoyed it and our guests seemed to like it also.

The big disappointment was that Ray was sent to China the week before the party and missed the whole thing!

Two days after the party he came home (thankfully, safe and sound)
and we were able to make this picture together.
