What are your strengths and weaknesses?

My strengths lie in my ability to learn and adapt quickly.  Working at DRG Computers there were many different areas in which I was responsible for. There was always something new to learn and explore. This enabled me to pick up new skills fairly quickly. My weakness lies in my tendency to be a perfectionalist.  I appreciate organization and the methodology of each task, but I have also learned to adapt to quicken up my pace.

What are the most important rewards you expect in your career?

Ultimately, I would like to have a career in which I will be passionate about and will make me happy.  Another important reward in which I expect is the ability to expand my knowledge about a variety of topics.

 

What are your goals?

 

My short term goal is to find an entry level position that will enable me to work with databases.  Upon my graduation, I will be studying to be certified in Oracle 9i.  After a few years in the working world, I would like to continue my education to receive a Master’s degree in Information Systems within the next 3 years.  My long term goal is to gain enough skills and experience to become a Database Administrator.  My life long goal will to go into fashion design and to own a small store selling my creations.     

 

What qualifications do you have that make you successful in this career?

 

I have had several non-paid internships at major companies doing creative work and working with a database department.  Having these jobs have enabled me to explore the working dynamics of the real world.  Even though I do not have many years of experience in databases, my drive to learn how to make and implement databases is great. I have always been creative and enjoyed the different mediums of art.  Graphic design is quite enjoyable; because it is something I like to do and come natural for me.
