Jacks Iron and stuff

Jack and Flo have lived on 26 acres in the SE corner of Jack County, Joplin Community for almost 40 years. Five children were raised here and are all gone, SO ON OUR 50th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY (Nov 16, 2001) its just the old folks left.

Jack is a retired Airplane and Bus builder he likes, electro/mechanical things, computers, dirt bikes, tractors and such.He is blessed to teach Adult Mens SS at Joplin Baptist an has a barn full of projects. Flo is a retired homemaker and ran a beauty shop at Joplin for several years. She is now a full time flower, bird and garden person. She also does consultant work in all disciplines of medicine and doctoring (short of brain surgery). Flo is very active in Joplin Baptist.

They may not be suitable and approiate for younger children.I think this is an event that must be told and shown over and over Jackie, Barbara, Ruby, Flo and Jack visited Dachau in 1976. It placed a mark in my mind forever. POPO Flo and I visited this Volcano in the middle 80's and had hopes of hiking up to the top, we are now past that irresponsibe thought and besides the volcano has started to erupt. There was a lodge at 12,500' with Guides and equipment. They would pick you up in Mexico City at your Hotel about 3:00PM and take you up to the lodge, fit you with equipment, feed you dinner and provide lodging until 3:00AM next morning at which time you ate breakfast and took off on a 6 hour trip to the top and 3 hour trip back down.It is 17,500 feet hig, top of the world. nFor a lot of years I told myself the only reason we didnt make the trip was we needed to stay at the lodge for at least 10 days to get acclimitized to the altitude, I now realize even back in those days God had his hand on our lives and had a better plan.
