Well I did a review a while back but it disapeared so here it is again.
This game is a First Person Shooter a la Doom. The graphics are gorgeous, as they should be, and the game moves at a fluid and quick pace. There are a nice arsenal of weapons and characters to choose from, it almost looks like a fighting game in the character selection screen. You will die on this game, it should be noted, if you are the type that hides in corners.
The game can get frantic at times but in the beginning is pretty easy. You have to play single player to unlock characters and stages. The 1P mode is somewhat boring but has to be endured for more stages on the mult. mode. The multiplayer mode can be great at times but does not even compare to Goldeney's or Perfect Dark's.
Overall it feels like a chore unlocking all of the players and stages. By the time you get it unlocked you are bored with the game. Only a minimal amount of fun can be had on Mult. mode. Is it worth a buy? My answer at the time is an easy no. The game does not have enough going for it to make it worth $50. Unless you are a purist who only plays Unreal I highly suggest Timesplitters easily over this title or waiting until the price drops about 15-20 bones cuz this one just doesn't cut it for me.
