The best football game on SNES:9

Want to play a revolutionary game for the SNES. Then make sure to pick up Tecmo Superbowl 3. This game has it all. Cinematic displays, one of the best create a player modes ever, and don't forget the awesome trade and free agent mode included.

The game is almost the same as the first Tecmo Superbowl. How you run and switch players is all the same as well. The main diffrence is the # of plays and that you can actually play a certain kind of defense. It adds variety but keeps it simple enough to where anyone can pick up and play.Everything just seems to click with this title. There are the actual NFL records you get to try to break. This adds yet another addition to the game which most football games back then lacked. As stated above the create a player mode is the best there is hands down. I still like it better than the ones of today. Create a player with a minimal amount of points. Stick him in to play. If he does well the you get more points to add to his spped or power etc. It's like raising a NFL player.

There are some things that warrant this from getting a ten. The first is the cinematic displays are repitive after a while. A option to turn them off would have been appreciated. The create a mode player makes up for this however. The only real problem is the difficulty of this title. Unlike the challenging first title, this one is way too easy. Expect to win the super bowl every year with a 16 and 0 record. You get major yards like the first one but the computer is just really bad. The only challenge will be to play your friends.

Don't let that factor ruin the experience for you though. This game is awesome from start to finish. This is the best sports game for the SNES no doubt about it. Buy it and experience one of the great classics. Need I say More?
