The 2K series shot right out of the gates. With it's gorgeous graphics and awesome gameplay I became one of the many who could not simply put the controller down. While this years title may not be close to the impact 2K left on the gaming world, it can still be said that the game ranks a very easy second right behind Madden for pigskin king.
If you played any of the games before this title then you may already be familiar with what to expect with this title. The gameplay has been tweaked a bit to make the game move a little quicker and there are many new moves to preform. As far as anything else goes ....well just read my 2K review. The graphics are a bit better than previous titles but nothing substantial. The control is there and handles very well. The crowd is much better than the college counterpart meaning they don't boo you when you are up 28-0. They do get a little restless when you go for a fourth down play whichs adds a little drama to your choice.
The only thing I have a major problem with is the way you pick plays, option etc. I hate using the analog seeing how if you slip up a little it can cause you to pick a wrong play resulting in a timeout. They should have just stuck with the original D pad way of life.
Hey if you loved 2K or 2K1 then buy this game. This is a very improved game and unless you have A) played madden to death or B) own the game already then I see no reason why any football fan should overlook this title. Hey lets face it. There are plenty of average and boring titles out in market now but luckily for Dreamcast owners they get a football series that is exactly the opposite. This is the last great football game for the DC so you better snatch it up while you still can.
