Where do I even begin? This game has to be the pinnacle of all sports games. Yes I think it has more to offer than the almighty Madden. There is so much to talk about so I guess I'll start with the graphics. Gorgeous. Simple as that. What did you expect? Ugly choppy graphics. If so then move along this game has smooth sharp graphics. The control is great as well. Want to run up the middle? Then go ahead just don't go flying in there because your momentum will get you lit up. So far I have not had any problems at all with control. Commentary is okay. Sometimes it gets a little repitive, even though the behind the scenes video said they added thousands of lines of new commentary. However they sound great when explaining certain aspects of the game such as running the same play over or running a hurry up offense. All of the basic things are great but it is more of the small things that thrust this title into a blockbuster game.
The atmosphere of this game is simply unmatched. Cheerleaders, fightsongs, school rivalries, and pride all come into the mix in this game. You can go up against rivals like OU and UT and win actual throphies that the teams play for. Your school isn't in the game, well fine make your own. Choose your playbook, colors, even fight songs are provided as well. Want your team to be a option team then do so. The options in this game are packed to the rim. Dynasty is great. Recruit players from all 50 states. Whats amazing about this is the fact that recruits come from real cities. Everything from the big city blue chip to the small town recruit is right here.
Just a high quality title overall. The only gripe I could think of is the fact that you cannot make 2 created teams rivals. That option would have put this into the perfect 10 category easily. But this game is still loads of fun. To give you an idea, I have had this game for less than a month and I have already worn it out. I am even thinking of buying another copy. Scary isn't it?
