The 2K series has taken a much better turn in the basketball department. This game is just awesome. The graphics may not be the best ever but it really doesn't matter since you'll be hooked by the great gameplay. First off there are a few glitches in this game. Not nearly as much as the rookie effort but they are still present nevertheless. While they don't really hinder any momentum they will annoy you such as the ball flying 20 feet in the air for no reason or the player inbounding the ball recieving it back to cause a quick turnover. That brings me to the only dreadful part of this game. The passing system really sucks. YOU WILL HAVE BACKCOURT VIOLATIONS NO MATTER WHAT. For some strange reason if you press up on the dpad or analog the player decides to pass backwards or somewhere else besides the desired location. The icon passing is great unless the handler suddenly gets wide open for a split second shot because then you will pass to a different player instaed of taking a shot.
With all of that said and done there is plenty of good of great stuff packed in this game. The outside shooting is great. I absolutley love just kicking it out to a wide open point guard knowing he is gonna drain it about %80- %90 of the time. All of the shooting is improved. The sound is great and the animation projects a game that was carefully worked and tweaked on over and over again.
So all in all a bad ass game. Just a few tweks and this could be the best ever but then again you really can't complain about the best can you?
