Well if you were able to read my Vandal hearts review, then you'd know that i had to play this that night I typed it and I did.
First of all I'll get the bad stuff out of the way first.In the battles you do not get to control all the people in your party.This itself is not a bad thing, however the automatically controlled people, which is only 2 so far, are very stupid. They go by themselves straight into enemy territory and are often the first to get killed. Also the chobocos are F@#$%&^ ANNOYING!!!! I hate them because they can move really far and seem to move far enough to attack you every time. When you do take off energy the run away like little bitches and cure themselves.
There is also no save function during a battle. This can be really annoying when I have to go somewhere quick and I have to turn off the playstation and start the battle over again.
Now the parts of the game. The music is very good in matching the battle feel of the game. Also the battles are totally fun and makes you want to play more than 1 battle a sitting.
My favorite aspect of the game has to be the job system. At first I hated it because I didn't know how to put on magic spells or use items,please don't laugh. Then I read the instuction booklet and I saw the light. There are so many things to learn and change to. This is half of the game right here because if you don't use a good mix of troops then you are going to lose and fast!
Overall this game should belong in any strategy fan's library. With the killer story, cool music, and awesome job editor really makes this game a win win situation!Also if you want to see some pictures of the game then click on the picture link below.
