A Cowboy's "Why?"
Though the cowboy may appear confused,
and in truth his purpose oft is to amuse.
He questions more fully to understand,
for the "why's" a philosophy must withstand.
Else truth will one day find its way,
and to the unprepared, bring much dismay.
For in truth, absolutes do exist,
regardless what we think to see in the mist.
To fail to ask questions such as why,
will limit the learning to the eye.
And if what we see is all there is,
Then life has no meaning beyond the abyss.
Man must dream the impossible dream,
for without it he withers or so it will seem.
But yet he exists, interdependent at best,
and so he should put his dream to the test.
For others may hear him and follow his way,
he must therefor take care not to lead them astray.
