 Richard E. McDonald

Known by many worldwide as a modern day renaissance man and a hopeless romantic. But here in the Hill Country that means "Depressed Jack of all trades". Richard enjoys the creative side of life. Working in the entertainment business, Richard has been fortunate enough to have worked with many talented individuals that most only see on the big screen or on album covers in the local music store. His endeavors have taken him all over the world. A published photographer, Richard's work can be seen in various parts of this web site as well as in several international publications in the past. As a musician, Richard inherited his mother's voice and performs every chance he gets. His music background started in his church as a youth. After performing in a few bands Richard went on to attend Musicians Institute of Technology in Hollywood, California. Upon graduation Richard was invited back to MIT as a guest instructor conducting the Pro Rock Series. In various bands and music projects, Richard at one time or another has not only sang but has played the guitar, trombone, keyboards and yes even a little tambourine. As a poet and lyricist, Richard's body of work spans over 25 years writing his first piece at age 9.

On the business side of life, Richard has owned two of his own businesses. One of which was an international recording studio called Virtual Audio Systems who specialized in digital three-dimensional recording technologies for future Virtual Reality applications. Richard has assisted in the development of business plans ranging from five to thirteen million dollars. He has successfully negotiated projects with numerous top entertainment companies such as Sony, Fuji Network, Body Sonics of Pioneer, Nintendo, NBC, Disney, Pony Canyon of Japan, and Dentsu. We feature his Entertainment  resume for your viewing.

What prides Richard the most, is his family. In the second half of his life, Richard chose to walk away from the Entertainment career mentioned above to quietly raise his three children and build a peaceful existence with his wife as a geek in disguise.

Today is a different story compared to the Entertainment business hustle and bustle of yesteryear... Today Richard goes technical embracing the computer industry catering to his intellectual side. As an MCP, Richard played a major part in the Y2K readiness for Companies all over South Texas including Fort Sam Houston and Brook Army Medical Center as the primary NT hardware/software support  for over 3500 workstations. As an IIS Administrator and Exchange Administrator Richard sets the standards for an Enterprise to follow into the new and exciting changes in the computer age. Richard is also relied upon as a technical consultant and hardware liaison for the United States Armed forces, servicing on going defense contracts for Metrica Inc. located in San Antonio, Texas. We feature Richard's Computer Resume.
