On April 30, 1981, Justin Alon Hays was born in the small town of Graham, TX. At the age of 2, he seemed like a typical toddler until his first words were uttered, words such as "powerlines", "watertower" and "the moon". At age 4, Justin began showing clear signs of his interest in electricity by asking for plugs and switches for Christmas presents, noticing technical things, and wanting old radio equipment that he saw in his father's workshop.

At 8 years of age, Justin completed his first electronics project which was a small speed controlled motor glued to a piece of wood. Six years and numerous projects later at the age of 14, Justin became a liscensed amateur radio operator with help and encouragement from his mother and father. This liscense was the gateway for Justin to experiment with electronics, a field with which he would be involved for many years.

During Junior High and High School, Justin's grades skyrocketed in scientific fields of study. He excelled in all of the sciences; biology, physics, and computer-related courses. But as a striking contrast, Justin's grades suffered greatly in those courses not science-related.

As a senior in High School, Justin's education didn't officially start for him until he enrolled in various electronics courses at a local community college. During his time there, Justin demonstrated Tesla coils and other high voltage apparatus that he designed and constructed. These small demonstrations paved the way for many larger presentations throughout the Houston, TX area.

Aside from Justin's professional and educational interests, his hobbies are also viewed as important. Justin has actively worked in astronomy, music, meteorology, herpetology, website design, digital photography, experimental rocketry, remote control aviation, high energy electophysics, and power electronics.

Through a question posted to the internet-based Tesla Coil Mailing List in 1995, Justin met his best friend, Aron Koscho. Working together hand-in-hand since they met, the two friends have constructed many advanced experimental devices together.

Currently, Justin is working to obtain a stable income and lifesyle that is separate from his parents. His near-future plans are to purchase a reliable vehicle, save money, and continue adding to and improving his assets. Justin's plans thereafter are to be self employed, wealthy, and to continue learning the various sciences that interest him.
