Winter light
Is cold and bright
Like the stars
Of winter night
Beauty bright
Rules the night
Summer warm
Wakes the storm
Flaming grass
Shines like glass
Stars burn out
This time about
Sunlight gone
Stars stolen
Street lamps lit
Silence golden
Beauty bright
Dark as night
Blood red lips
Scarlet kiss
Summer sunlight
Golden dawn
Amber wings
Ride out the storm
Soaring dragons
Flapping wings
Destiny’s challenge
Is our theme
Little flamewing
Steals my breath
Stars are silent,
Bright as death
Life is going,
Beauty dwindles
An open door
Snuffs out the candles
Golden, sun-kissed
Daughter of a star
Sunshine beauty with moonlight skin
Child of the light
Goddess of love
Silver, moonlight
Son of darkness
Cool as steel, silver like stone
Child of the night
Lord of courage
Two, together
Moon and sun
Dark and light
Children of the gods
Being as one
Liquid light
Soft skin
Shines under stars
Star-crossed days
Velvet night
Stolen sighs
Silent kisses
Gone
Falling, falling to the ground,
From the clouds I tumble down,
Making puddles splish splash SPLOSH!
Muddy puddles, black clouds fly,
Pitter patter from the sky
Hooded eyes
Like the night
Covered in shadow
Glitter like stars across the sky
A face,
Milk-white, death-white
Thin like pain
Sharp as daggers
Dark with the light of an angel's wing
The body of shadows
Frigid; cold as the light of a new moon
Beautiful in blackness
Embrace the night
Take the darkness
Emptiness, nothing, darkness, beauty
Living a soap opera life
Dark poetry
Dead promises
My life
Spilling from my veins
In liquid scarlet ribbons
Down a milk white throat
Like wine on linen
Sunlit summer
Days are gone
Silence shield me
From the storm
Blood is red,
Black as night
Stars are silent
Out of sight
The heart is thrumming
True love dwindles
A rush of flame
And new love kindles
Tears of mist
Rain down my face
Silent pain
Knows beauty and grace
Amber flames
Stir up the air
Little dragons
Sitting there
Sunlight distant,
Day is gone
Twilight coming
Right all wrongs
Back the bowstring bounds.
The arrow flies on stolen wings
soaring off past the trees
seeking the taste of blood
Bare brown feet hit the ground,
pattering through the dry leaves with
the grace of a deer,
searching for a mis-aimed missile.
The arrow finds its prey.
It dives down deep and drinks
of the thick, hot fluid that is
looking for escape from punctured veins.
The huntress hears a pained cry,
she stops, fearfully surprised,
then runs the sound,
pursuing the victim of her illegal arrow.
There! Her arrow lies
Across the clearing, but instead
Of finding some small mammal,
It has sought out a young warrior.
She steps hesitantly forward,
Closing her eyes, she hopes to awake
With her tribe, but when she opens them,
She sees the wounded warrior watching her.
The girl jumps to flee, but
He holds out a shaking hand,
And she knows that she cannot leave
Without trying to help him.
He was hunting for his tribe,
And was injured by the arrow.
She wants to run, but he holds out
A hand (I don’t want to die alone.)
Like it? Hate it? Let me know!
