"Dreya" pictured resting in the yard!

"Dreya" was my introduction to the Borzoi breed. She was my practice dog and I learned to show with her. She was major pointed (8 points total) but due to other commitments I could not get her out often enough to finish.

She was also the dam of BORCHI'S first litter of Borzoi puppies. In 1988 she was bred to a nephew (Alborak"s Czar Ivan) and produced a litter of two, (Ch. Borchi's Andrejenko, CD and Borchi's Alexandrevitch) of which "Andy" became our first home-bred Champion (Ch. Borchi's Andrejenko, CD) and Obedience Companion Dog

Her other son "Lexi" became the sire of "Borchi's" second and third litter and grand sire to the fourth litter and "Future" of Borchi's generations to come, carrying on Dreya's legacy!

Almost exactly one year after losing Sophie in 1990, Dreya somehow received a spinal injury in July of 1991, and with little or no hopes of ever standing, let alone walking again, she was put down to end her suffering.
