"The End. What do you think of that?" Alicia sat up closing the book. She looked over at her friend. Her mouth was open slightly, rather astonished by the story. "I can not believe you wrote that, Ali! I'm really impressed." Jennifer replied. "So, the book company is ok with it?" "Yeah, the book company thinks its great, but I have a meeting today at um, 6 with the Backstreet Boys' managers or something... they're supposed to give me the ok or not to have it published, ya know?" Alicia shrugged. "Are the guys themselves going to be there?" Jennifer asked excitedly. "Probably not. I dont care either way. Its not like, they'll be all over me cause I write good." Alicia replied with a grin. "Now help me figure out what to wear!"
"Are you Alicia Montgomery?" The secretary asked as Alicia walked into the recording building. The guys' managers were doing some last minute stuff on the latest album and asked her to meet them there. "Yes thats me." Alicia replied, smoothing down her skirt. "Go up to the 7th floor, hon, and all the way down the hall to room 211. Thats the conference room, I think they're waiting for you." "Ok, thank you." Alicia adjusted her purse and climbed onto the elevator. "7th floor, ok... room 211... ok..." Walking out, she heard laughter coming from the end of the hallway.
"I just want to know who Jade's character is modeled after!" A deep raspy voice laughed from inside the room. "Is this the right room?" Alicia asked, stepping in. She smiled, recognizing at once the 5 guys she had spent so much time writing about. "Guess so, nevermind." "Hey- why didnt you come in being Jade?" AJ asked with an evil smile. "I did. Nice to meet you." Alicia extended her ring covered hand across the table. "Likewise." AJ smiled, taking her hand in his, noticing her firm grip. "I'm impressed there, Alicia. Nice handshake. Raised by-" "Ok, anyways!" Kevin grinned, laughing at AJ's constant flirtation.
"Ms. Montgomery?" An older man asked, sitting down at the opposite end of the long conference table. "Yes sir." Alicia replied, sitting down in the chair beside AJ. AJ watched her long legs swing under the table, her short skirt, hiking up shorter as she sat. Her long blonde hair was tied up in a thick bun on top of her head, but her intense green eyes shone out from the silvery eyeshadow she lined her eyes with. He didnt pay any attention to the legal talk that was happening, until he heard someone announce it was dismissed.
"Well, Brian, Kev, Howie, Nick... it was a pleasure meeting you. I cant wait to go shove this in my friend's face! And AJ, it was a pleasure meeting you also." She extended her hand one last time.AJ grabbed it, pulling her into a tight hug. "You're a talented writer. I was sincerely impressed with your style. But something is kind of bothering me..." AJ said looking puzzled. "And what is that McLean?" Alicia said. "How can you describe kissing me so well when you never have?" he asked, inching his face close to hers. "Lucky guess, I suppose. I could be wrong tho." Alicia smiled, breathing in his heavenly scent.. one that was so much better than she ever imagined. "Wouldnt you like to know if the facts you're selling are true or not?" AJ grinned, trailing a slender finger down her jawline..."You should know the answer to that without having to ask, AJ. Did you not pay any attention to the story?" Alicia asked, placing her hands on her hips.
AJ pulled out his wallet, removing an old letter, obviously that had been read a lot. Opening it, glancing at the signed name, he smiled and looked back up at Alicia. "I sure did Jay. I most definitly did." And with that, he leaned down and kissed her softly on the lips, letting his hands settle around her waist. When they broke apart they were both breathless.
"I've been waiting for that, for as long as I can remember." Alicia breathed heavily. "Me too, Ali." AJ said, resting his forehead against hers, looking into her eyes. "Me too..." He put his arm around her and they walked out together, their fingers gently entertwining as they looked at each for the first time...
