Chapter 6

Backing out of the grvel driveway, Deanne turned to Brian. "Brian, who's house is this?" Brian looked out the window, then back at DeeAnne. "This was my uncle's house...Kevin's father. Whenver I need someplace to go, I know I'm always welcome here." DeeAnne could feel a tear flow down her cheek. Brian was such a sensitive guy. Jen loved guys like that.

"When's the funeral?" Brian asked, looking out the window. AJ & Howie look at each other, stunned at Brian's question. "It's-uhh..tomrrow afternoon. Are you going to go, Brian?" AJ asked. "Of course, AJ. Jen wants me to go." Brian replied. DeeAnne shifts in her seat, feeling very uneasy all of a sudden at the way Brian had used "WANTS" rather than "WOULD HAVE WANTED" . "Oh my god he's gone off the deep end." DeeAnne thought to herself.

Watching the scenery go by, Brian smiles to himself. He then looks up into the sky and whispered, "Your welcome, Jen."
