The Waco Tribune-Herald is an American daily newspaper serving Waco, Texas and vicinity.

The newspaper has its roots in five predecessors, beginning with the Waco Evening Telephone in 1892. The Tribune-Herald took its current identity when E.S. Fentress and Charles Marsh, who owned the Waco News-Tribune, bought the Waco Times-Herald. That purchase was the beginning of Newspapers, Inc., a chain which eventually owned 13 newspapers. Founded 1892 (as the Waco Evening Telephone).
"Mrs. Cathy Ruth Hartless, 56, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014, in Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague with Bro. Steve Cowart officiating. Interment will follow the services in Dew Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home. Cathy Ruth was born in Dallas, Texas on January 3, 1957 to Emory and Ruth McAdams. Cathy loved to go on cruises and help anyone she could find in need. She loved the kids at her daycare, where she worked for 28 years; she had a special heart for kids. Mrs. Hartless loved to shop, enjoyed talking and loved doing special things for her grandkids. She was preceded in death by grandmother, Bobbie Downey; father-in-law, R.J Hartless; and special friend, Karen Rogers.Cathy is survived by her husband, Marvin Hartless of Teague; daughters, Colinda and husband Robert Greer of Teague, Crystal and husband Joe Fuller of Boise, Idaho; grandkids, Colton and Cache Peters, and Wyatt and Zackery Fuller; parents, Ruth Ann and E.J. "Bubba" McAdams of Teague; mother-in-law, Nona Faye Hartless of Teague; brother, Johnny and wife Lisa McAdams of Teague; sisters-in-law, Marcia and husband Charles Dunnahoe of Teague, Dianne and husband Bob McAloine of Teague; brother-in-law, Mart Hartless and Joe Roark of Teague; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved cat, Nick-Nick."
