Carter, age 88, of Crossett, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at the Spring Hill Medical Center. She was born on February 12, 1920 to her parents, Carlton C. and Ida Bell Pennington Womble. Mrs. Carter was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and enjoyed her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters; two brothers and her husband, Harold S. Carter. Survivors include a son, Charles Harold Carter and wife, Diane of Crossett, AR; a daughter, Sue Carolyn Reddick of Taylor, AR; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2008 at Magnolia Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Griffith and Bro. Joey Machen officiating.
