SPY CASSETTESThis trio of miniature Decepticons were the final additions to the ranks of Soundwave's cassette army.
RATBAT

Ratbat made his first appearance during the Autobot City Massacre, along with Soundwave's other Spy Cassettes, disrupting a communication sent to Moonbase One by the Autobot, Blaster. He and the other Decepticon cassettes inflicted damage to Perceptor, but they were seen off by Blasters cassettes.
Ratbat resembles a bat in robot mode, althought why is not clear, as his cassette is his natural form, and why and how his robot mode were altered is unknown. His primary function is to act as a fuel scout for the Decepticons, but he is often sent on reconaissance missions also.
Ratbat was among the Transformer Primitives who was called upon by Primacron's Assistant to battle Tornitron, but the energy creature made short work of him. Ratbat was the one who performed the reconaissance operation that allowed the Decepticons to learn that Optimus Prime's body was still intact, and that he might yet live again. Ratbat's final fate following the restoration of Cybertron's Golden Age is unknown.
OVERKILL AND SLUGFEST

There is next to nothing to say about Slugfest and Overkill. Their singular known appearance was when they shot forth from Soundwave's cassette slot, and transformed, having been summoned by Primacron's Assistant to battle Tornitron. However, the two cassettes were never seen again, not even DURING the battle with Torniton! They simply disappeared into obscurity, and never returned. (Note: It is because of their failure to appear more then once, and my subsequent failure to find a picture of this one appearance that the above picture has had to be lifted from their Tech Specs). What is known is simply that Slugfest resembles a Stegosaurus in robot mode, and Overkill resembles a Tyrannosaurus Rex. Any other information was not forthcoming in the continuity in question.
