Doctor Archeville (first name unknown) was a human scientist who aided the Decepticons when they were attempting to drag Cybertron into Earth's orbit. Archeville was partially cybernetic in nature - he had a metallic right arm and skull cap, although the reason for his being like this is unknown - and agreed to help the Decepticons by giving them his latest invention - the Hypno-Chip, which allowed the Decepticons to control the minds of human, including Sparkplug Witwicky. The Decepticons were successful in pulling Cybertron into Earth's orbit, put the result was that both planets were being destroyed. When Cybertron was returned to it's original point of origin, Starscream captured Archeville. Starscream planned to destroy the Earth by detonating Archeville's unstable exponential generator, and he took Archeville to Cybertron with him, where he would collect energy from the explosion of Earth. Archeville tried to stop Starscream, but was crippled by a laser sentry guarding Starscream's computer, then had his body replaced with an immoble metallic one. When Earth failed to explode, Starscream went back to the planet to see what had gone wrong, where he was accosted by Megatron, and, after the obligatory reprimanding, was allowed to return to the Decepticon ranks. Archeville had been left on Cybertron, and was never seen again. It is presumed that either Shockwave sent him back to Earth via the Spacebridge, or simply killed him.
