The 2001 Season for the Seminoles started off bumpy. They lost 4 of their first 5 and were in risk of not even making the playoffs. Then came the turn around. With great playing from rookies such as Edward Mendez and Anthony Hernandez as well as the verterans on the squad, the Noles went on a 5 game winning streak. The team was making their move for the playoffs. They won the Southern Conference and was the top seed heading into the playoffs. The Noles were then beaten in the playoffs by the 2001 SFA Champs, the Rhinos. The Seminoles have been unbeatable in division play the past 3 seasons. Their mark of 23-5 in the regular season and 14-0 in division play the last three years is an SFA record. They have the current longest regular season winning streak (8) and plan to make all kinds of new records in 2002. With so many new additions to the 2001 Noles sduad, it will be difficult to know where this team stands among the Noles of the past. But one thing is for sure, they will be a contender..

By far, the Seminoles have emerged as one of the top teams in Texas Sixman. With their core players returning in 2002, they will be the team to beat.

"We picked up some great guys this year and our defensive core will return. I don't see the Noles losing more than two games in 2002."
