Editor's Note:

Hello there and welcome to our third issue of The Poet's Forum E-zine. This E-zine was created to reach those who enjoy reading poetic works and even consider writing from time to time. This month we were pressed for time so unfortunately we were unable to have an article for this issue, but there are still poems to be read. We apologize for that, but in other news, we will be adding another feature to our E-zine. We are going to be fearturing a Site of The Month. Each month we will hand select a Poetry site that was submitted to us for consideration. So if you know any good poetry sites or own one, let us know through email, with the address given of course. Well, that's all for this month's Editors Note, so please enjoy the read. . .

Dusk & Dawn

Suns Temptation
by Michael A. Casares

A detour.
A confrontation.
Where did such an anomaly come from?
Had my guilty heart actually bled
enough blood to penetrate the frozen walls?
A crow nestled on my shoulder,
cawing in my ear to iritate me so.
But why?
Had this bird so saught to anger my
wintery wrath,
or had it come to tempt me?

I stand upon a sea of ice,
barron is it's appearance.
I and a bird.
There we stood side-by-side as time
froze
and there we battled it out in a mental
war.
Yes, this demon had come to release
my heart,
but no bird would have at my body and
as sun began to rise,
to scourn me once more,
I seized the bird and put it to rest.
As it passed on,
the sun slowly sunk into the eart.

Demented Infinity
by Gino Sanchez

I ask my Lord for Permission, Still
To Exile me from this Curse, surreal
My Masters, Black, My Heard and Soul
The Spiraling Sources of a Demented Infinity

Granted such Vision, I Never Wanted to See
Tainted So Cruely by my eyes Demonically Bled
Seen in only the Shade of Ebony
My World is Beyond any man's Insanus Imagery

Uhh, anothe Day brings Obscenities Anew
Continuing through this Gallery of Gored Artistery
Painted only by the Trio of My Deepest Tortures
Will Death Ever Show Me The Sweetness of Her Lips!?!

Shattered are my hopes by Mind
Conquered is my Faith by Soul
Ravished is my Love by Heart
I am Doomed by the Gods to this Demented Infinity

Scarecrow's Lament
by Gavin Casares

Darkened night and
The winds of the west blow through the cornfield
Blow the smell of confussion.
Rotting dead tree limbs dance amongst
the night sky trying to weave a tale,
unknown to the human eye.
And the scarecrow sits and watches
The landscape he's been placed in.
Takes every bit in.
Yet doesn't know his job.
Doesn't know what to do or feel.
Mere straw he was stuffed with and
nothing can protect him. . .
~The corn trees begin to sway.
Lightning flashes this and that way.
Scarecrow neverthough he'd see the day,
of fire on his nightly stay.
Oh you who's head is made of hay,
There is no way you can delay,
you fate. . .

Quicksilver
by Michael Casares

She weaves the enigmatic tapestry,
thread by thread to a grand fullfillmet
and lures me in with her mysterious smile and
mystical eyes.
The spirit about her intrigues me
and makes me curious
so that I want to run to her with speed.
Cunning.
Smiles can be deceiving,
but the enchantress seems sincere
in her ways.
Weaving for all eternity and pulling me
into her quilt of sickness.
