Unforgiven
Once I believed in you
Thought you knew me well
But now I see it was all a lie
No consideration for those around me.
This was not between ‘rents and I,
Not even between you and me.
I do what I will on my time
Encroach not upon my life.
Never did I want you as a part of me
Thoughts of second chances,
Thoughts of one more try
Decimated by your lack of judgment.
I wanted to try and forgive
Too bad it’ll never happen with you.
Why didn’t you keep your mouth shut?
Now I’m falling deeper in this hole.
No fault of my own, done by you
The future was a soft shade of red
Now blackened with spite by your words.
Tongues of fire lashing out your mouth
Slowly eating away at all I have left.
Conglomeration of things long past
New found discord arisen from within.
It could have been simple, not a soul involved
You chose otherwise and lost it all
One thing not appreciated here
No haven for ones like me
You can’t face the fact
I think for me. Not you.
This in time will be remembered
Future blacked by your words
For in my soul it has been written,
You alone are unforgiven.
