I Corinthians 13:11-13

Daddy why do people have to die.
Leave their loved ones, make them cry?
My son we cannot understand,
Take strength knowing they're in the father's hand.

Daddy will you too be gone?
Without you how will we go on?
My son, I will go home someday,
But the Father will be here to lead your way.

Dad, why don't you let me live?
I simply have no more to give.
My son, you've only begun to give,
And in doing so you'll learn to live.

This road is hard, Dad, and oh so long,
What will sustain me and keep me strong?
My son, take strength in the Father above,
Who will guide you and fill you with his love.

Daddy why'd you have to die,
Leave your loved ones, make us cry?
My son, you cannot understand,
Take strength knowing I'm in the Father's hand.

Father, he's gone, it's you and I.
And although I don't understand why,
You've taken him with you above,
Please let him know how much we love.

As we walk this road, through a stranger's land,
Please guide us and keep us in your hand,
So that we will continue to see your love,
And someday be with you above.

Dedicated to the memory of my father
