My Anime Reviews (no order)
1) Princess Monoke - fantabulous movie! and the names are fun to yell (ashitaka!) and its NOT fern gully on acid.
2) Ronin Warriors - Ryo, sooooo hot ^_^, a good anime cause its got neat sword fights and stuff.
3) Ghost in the Shell - cyborgs and guns, where can ya go wrong with that script? but not as good as the Manga, cause well Shiro is a comic god.
4) Appleseed - Read the manga first or this is totally a waste of time to watch. again a Shiro story
5) Battle Angel - love this movie, i want Gunnm's fighting abilities.
6) RG Veda - great! its got it all including demon butterflies!
7) Sailor Moon - Just plain weird especially the villans... but i want those Cats!
8) Dragon Ball Z - 3 words- kame hame biatch! but it takes 10 episodes for a punch to connect. and almost as homo-erotic as Utena
9) Vampire Hunter D - He has a face in his hand...and Goddess of Random thoughts fav movie, she highly recomends it.
10) Wizards - not japanime, but a damn good movie.
11) Lodoss Wars - * claps * Pa-Pa PARN! Great movie and the SD at the end is hilarious!
12) Vampire Princess Miyu - oooo vampires O_o
13) Cobra: Space Adventure - (used as the matthew sweet GirlFriend music video) interesting concept for movie but animation...meh.
14) Tenchi Muyo - cabbits are evil, and i feel sorry for tenchi sometimes poor schmuck *shakes head* Ryoko is kick ass though!
15) Akira - a little too bloody for my taste, but the bikes made the movie, this again read the manga first.
16) Devil Hunter Yoko - didn't like this one very much, was a little too much on the sexual side, too much fanservice.
17) Riding Bean - highly recomended by my sister, and Forrest the GSC fan
18) Ninja Scroll - Jubei rules the ninja world! animation is kick ass too.
19) Ninja Ressurection - ummm all i have to say is ew, sex with dying/dead people.
20) X - classic clamp! has dragons too get the sub version the dubbing is horrible.
21) The Maxx - omg, not anime again but who can resist talking blocks of clay, crabbits, and Iszes
22) GUNDAM W - ok this may be my hormones talking but Heero Yuy is the hottest man ever, who cares if he is 14 and the fight scenes are fantabulous
23) Venus Wars - scifi = happy people and they have 1 wheel motorcycles! neat anime but a little slow.
24) Final Fantasy: search for the crystals- campy, bad plot bad script all in all the only saving thing is that the fightscenes are well animated. dont waste your time watching it.
25) Pet Shop of Horrors - i am still trying to figure out if one of the characters is male or female but this is a neat movie, they are skeevy and hide morals in this one.
26) Voogie's Angels - Replace voogie with charlie and u got the plot. a bad anime all in all
27) Queen Emeraldas - Neat anime, but again read the manga or at least see some of the other movies first
28) DNA Sights 999 - This is rather cool and i liked the concepts in it and the animation of the magma people. its kinda tied in with the Emeraldas movies (star blazers).
29) Those Who Hunt Elves - This one cracks me up. My sister loves it too and is after a russian tank from my parents, they are a bit concerned ^_^
30) Gun Smith Cats - Forrest showed me this and i loved it, its one of his favs. and highly recomends it.Rally is the coolest ever
31) Sorcerer Hunters - Funny again, carrot is a great character and the sisters tira and chocolate are a great team. good for a laugh.
32) Revolutionary Girl Utena - BLATANT HOMOEROTICSM! INCEST TOO! greatly confusing series thats funny but i dont think intentionally. the movie is bizarre too. fighting disney land on wheels and riding about naked on the lesbian chasis of love is just odd. but the school looks like it was designed by esher.
33) Magic Knights Rayearth - NEATO! mia and i love this and the theme song is good too which of course is all important. clamp so its cutesy
34) Cowboy Bebop - DUDE just say the name. and its again a scifi. with a hermaphrodite as a bonus -_^ and the magnificent edward an androgenous character that has no bones.
35) Hand Maid May - Um she has a CORD in her CHA CHA! and the guy who owns this 6 inch high "cyberdoll" wants it in a bride of chucky way.... :( but it has a guy that can gyrate his lower ribcage bend in ways i only wish i could. does a classic anime 180 in the 5th or 6th episode.
36) Berzerk - the other end of the homoerotic spectrum of utena. i reciently saw a Berzerk marathon. I now HATE the theme song, and cant stop singing it... so unhappy. but berzerk has to be the oddest homoerotic anime besides utena. again a classic anime 180 is seen, this gets real depressing at the end. the game out based on this anime for the dreamcast is very cool.
37) Orange Road - evil evil evil shojo with psychic powers added in, in attempt to make it ok. it fails.
38) El Hazard - this is some great stuff, watch this its got a little lesbian girl that cant ever get a woman, and has no point in the plot. shes my favorite character ^_^ also in the OAV version Fatora is agressivly lesbian. which is hilarious.
39) TRIGUN - VASH THE STAMPEDE is my hero! one of the best animes i have seen. i completely love this one and reccomend it to all people.
40) Love Hina - um a meowing sea turtle? dont get that... the running theory on how the script is written is: " they pour ether on the carpet and lock the writers in and see what they can do" its great if you know your anime though because every episode has some reference to a well known anime and it mocks it.
41) The Ultimate Teacher - this is such a wierd wierd show about a man whos a cockroach... and lucky kitty gym shorts. this one is good for a laugh. but it makes you wonder... *what* gave them the idea for this script?!
42) All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku - cute, and the main girl is a cyborg with the brain of a cat. there is also nuku nuku dash which doesnt follow regular nuku nuku at all but both are good.
43) His and Her Circumstances - a shojo i actually like. you really are drawn into the plot and the animation style is amazing.
44) Nadesco - this is good its funny in the sorcerer hunters way, sometimes it gets serious though.
45) Legend of Galactic Heros - this anime is SO bad. people say its ok if you see a couple of episodes in a row, but i doubt that. its like a german soap opera in space.
46) Kishin Corps - this is neat and very well done. the mecha is done with real science in mind and the history parts are well researched. its got nazis and tommy gun carrying aliens. i highly recomend this if you are a mecha fan.
47) Lupin III - Lupin is the man! i really love all the movies i have seen with lupin and the 1970's tv series is supposed to be good too. the animation style is great too.
AHHHHH, Japanime. One of my few vices, I will admit straight up that I am an addict. My world stops when Japanime is on.
The first Japanime I ever saw was Grimm's Fairy Tales on Nickleodeon as a child, one is never too young appriciate the wonderful world of Japanese Animation. The show that got me hooked was Sailor Moon ( now i know that many dislike Sailor Moon, but I, being the hopeless romantic that I am, love the story line and can't help my it ), it kinda snowballed from there with the addition of Cartoon Network to my cable. I now watch Dragon Ball Z, Ronin Warriors, and any other Japanime that happens to be shown on televison. I also keep Blockbuster and Hollywood Video afloat with the constant rentals of Japanime movies. If you have never watched one, be careful, you get hooked easily, but its an addiction that can be easily fed.
