The restaurant report

In this feature I will review restaurants we go to.

Casa Ole on Hwy. 290.

Our first mistake was deciding to go eat there. Things went down hill from there. First we sat for 10 minutes.... and you would think the wait staff was on strike. Finally Deb had to go get the manager to get a wait person to help us. I ordered the fajitas, well, silly me, I was expecting hot sizzling fajitas..... boy was that a mistake. What I got was these cold, fatty pieces of.. I think meat. Was it pretentious of me to want a refill on my Sprite? Well, not at Casa Ole. After a futile search for our non existent wait person, I had to go to the kitchen and get my own refill. I do understand this is not Tonies, but I would think a drink refill is not to much to ask..... is it? The high point of the experience, was the manager picked up the tab.

Well we went back to Casa Ole again...... and as hard as it is to believe, this time it was worse. We went and were seated, and once again, we were ignored. Our waitress walked by and just looked at us. She was more intent on picking up her tip from the next table. Well to make a short story long, we ended up getting out food free. The food was very good, just the service sucks.

Red Lobster 290 @ Hollister

 03 Jan 2000

We went to Red Lobster and had a wonderful meal. Deb had a kid's meal, ( yes she eats like a bird, and no, not big bird ) and I had the shrimp feast. The food was fresh, and delicious. The service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant

Casa Ole

We went back to Casa Ole. This trip was wonderful. The service was great, the waitress was attentive and really worked hard to please us. The waitress even gave me a kewl neon alien pen. The guests that we had with us were impressed as well. The fajitas were hot and steaming, and cooked to tender perfection. The management has recently changed, and I must say it was a change for the better.

Olive Garden on 290

The atmosphere was nice and cozy. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was prompt and friendly. I had the shrimp parmasienne and Deb had the spaghetti marinera. We both loved the food.
