In early 1998 I finally tracked down the family of James Giegel, a fine Marine and even greater man who was ambushed and killed May 26, 1970 along with two other Marines while on a resupply run from CACO 2-4 back to 2-4-1. His mother was gracious enough to answer me. I know how difficult it must have been for her.
