Automotons......Every damn one you! Nice introduction would you think? Do you care? Probably not, and if your reading this little column then you also be bored as hell at four in the morning. But let's quit this little introduction and move on...

Kiss of the Dragon. Where do I begin? Is it just me or is Hollywood purposely trying to keep Jet down? Let me break it down for you, First we have here Lethal Weapon 4, Jet Li plays a hardcore villian for the first time in his career and plays it to perfection. Sure Jet is onscreen for about 15 minutes and says about 10 words during the whole movie but since when did Jet Li need to say anything to feel his presence on the big screen? But he is pitted AND defeated by..... who? what? Mel Gibson? Okay, I can deal with that. Then comes the slick Romeo Must Die. This movie was hyped up very nicely by informing the audience that rapper DMX was in the movie (yeah, 5 minutes!!) and r&b singer Aaliyah. We see Jet Li onscreen for what, forty five minutes at the most, in a two hour movie? The action was too Matrix-like for a movie based in reality but the editing made that even more horrible.

Now comes Kiss of the Dragon.... This was made for straight to cable if you would like me to be quite honest. The action scenes were shot so tightly and up close, all I could see were a bunch of fist flying. And when you finally see a great martial arts scene, it's the final showdown, and that's too little too late. The dialogue was even more atrocious than Romeo Must Die for crying out loud! I thought I would never ever say this but I almost walked out of the theater during the last 30 minutes. On a JET LI film! I'm upset, and I'm hungry.......

I hope "The One" is masterpiece because nothing will worsen the blow I was handed with Kiss of the Shit!
