Escaping the Snares of Death

“The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life,
to depart from the snares of death.”
Proverbs 14:27

The word says that with “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge”. (Proverbs 1:7)  This fear is not a tormenting fear; this fear is a love, reverence and respect for one’s Creator.  This Creator, our God, has only good planned for us, all of the days of our lives.

Even when faced with a potentially life threatening illness, there is a way to be delivered, “the seed of the righteous shall be delivered” (Proverbs 11:21 ), IF one has a relationship with God, through Jesus Christ.

With the realization that illness does not come from God, is a step in the right direction, because if God has good planned for all of my days, than the opposite can be said for our enemy, Satan, whom is the oppressor and “the accuser/deceiver of brethren”.   Illness is oppression; therefore we see that it is from Satan.

I am, through my receiving of Christ, created in the righteousness of God, therefore  I am given the authority to overcome every oppression that the enemy would attempt to ensnare and oppress my flesh with!  We are to “be not afraid, only believe”.  “If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” (Mark 9:23 )

Jesus foretold that His disciples should do that which He had done and even greater things after He had gone to be with His Father, in heaven.  “And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.” (Mark 16:20 )  Note that “the Lord working with them”, this is recorded after Jesus ascended to take His place to the right hand side of God, the Father.

Being the disciple of Jesus Christ, we have the same abilities, through the gifting of the Holy Ghost that works within and through us, today!  The Lord works with us, today!
