- Psalms 23
-
- 1)
The LORD is my shepherd: I shall not want.
- 2)
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the
still waters.
- 3)
He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for
His name’s sake.
- 4)
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will
fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they
comfort me.
- 5)
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
- 6)
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in they house of the LORD for ever.
-
- I shall follow my LORD and He provides all
of my needs. He gives me a
sweet place to lie during my slumber and there I receive wonderful rest.
As He walks me beside the still waters, I am filled with overwhelming
peace. My soul He makes whole.
The paths I walk, are for His purpose and to bring His Name Glory.
-
- Through the valley of the shadow of death
shall I walk, not to tarry or linger, but to pass through to the other side.
While I am walking through this valley, no evil shall I fear, for my
Shepherd is ever with me, His rod and staff shall comfort me.
The Shepherds hook is for gentle guiding as I walk with Him.
He shall not let me stray.
-
- Even amidst mine enemies do you prepare a
table before me, My Shepherd and LORD anoints my head with oil; He fills my
cup to overflowing. By choosing
to follow my LORD, I know that goodness and mercy shall follow me all of the
days of my life, for within His house shall I dwell forever.
