Chapter 2: Once Again
"Soft heavenly eyes gazed into me. Transcending space and time and I was rendered still. There were no words for me to find at all. As I stood there beside myself I could see you and no one else. When I saw you I could not breathe, I feel so deep. When I saw you I'd never be, I'd never be the same. With no beginning and without an end you are the one for me. It's evident and your eyes told me so. Your eyes let me know…" - Mariah Carey
Taylor Hanson laid on his bed and thought about how great it was to be home. Of course he loved singing and traveling but it was nice to sleep in his own bed once in a while, too. He had been on the road since New Years and he practically forgot what his room looked like. Taylor had this sudden odd feeling of peace and he was about to doze off when his younger brother Zac charged into the room and rammed right into Tay.
"Get off me Zac!" he yelled. "Sorry, but I got really good news and some bad news." "Well, tell me the good news first." Taylor replied. "OK, the good news is that a family is finally moving in next door and I heard that they have kids around our age!" "Well, what's the bad news?" Taylor asked, groaning. "They're coming over for dinner at six and mom said you have to clean the room, do a load of laundry, and help make dinner." Zac answered, grinning. "Oh Man! It's already 4:30!" Taylor said looking at his watch. He then ran out of his room to get started.

"You wouldn't believe the…..hey put that sword down, Zach! I mean I can't turn around without finding them figh…. Jordan! Leave Madisin alone! Geez, Cass I can barely hear you." Gwen said. "I said, do you like Tulsa?" "Yes, very much! But I gotta go cause we're going to the neighbor's for dinner in an hour." Replied Gwen. "Okay, but call me tomorrow so we can talk and if there are any cute guys next door, give me the complete 411." Cassidy blurted out. "Alright. Give my love to Bridget and Amy! Bye Cass! Oh and if you see John soon tell him hi from me!" "Bye Gwen!" Man I miss those guys, Gwen thought to herself. "Zach, sit in that chair! Jordan, go sit in the kitchen! Madisin, go to your room!!! And stay there until mom gets home!" Gwen then ran upstairs to get dressed and do her hair for the "big" night.

As the Williams's family stepped in front of the neighbor's house, they all made sure they looked presentable. Then Ron knocked on the door. A woman about 5'5' with long blond hair answered the door. "You must be the Williamses. Please come in and make yourselves at home." the lady replied. Gwen's parents sat on the loveseat and Madisin sat on Denise's, Gwen's mom, lap. Zach and Jordan sat in the middle of the floor and Gwen sat in a chair by a window. She looked around her and saw a big house with a long hallway that led to four bedrooms. Cool, she thought. The woman that let them in then yelled for her kids to come downstairs and brought what it seemed to be a newborn baby girl into the living room. She asked Gwen if she would like to hold the baby. Gwen accepted and held the little girl in her arms. "What is her name?" she asked. "Zoë." The woman replied. Gwen got so wrapped up in watching Zoë that she didn't notice that 6 kids had entered the room. It took the oldest boy to clear his throat before Gwen finally looked up to see three smiling faces staring at her. She kind of jumped a little and struggled to say something. "Um…Um…Uh Hi?" she said softly. Gwen was practically in shock. She used all her strength to keep from screaming. She realized right away it was Hanson and she knew to stay calm because they probably wouldn't appreciate screaming. They all said "Hi!" back in unison. It was so cute.
"Well, we should introduce everyone." the woman said. "I'm Diana and this is Walker, my husband. And from oldest to youngest that's Isaac, Taylor, Zachary, Jessica, Avery, Mackenzie, and Zoë." They all said hi and Mack waved. "How adorable!" Gwen thought. "I'm Denise and this is Ron." Gwen's mom said. "Our oldest son, John, isn't here. He lives back in Forreston. This is our oldest daughter Gwen, our twin sons Jordan and Zach, and our youngest Madisin." "Well," Diana sighed "we should get to dinner."

"Ike, dear, why don't you and Gwen and Taylor get to know each other better. I'll stay and clean up." With that, Madisin, Avery, Jessica, and Mack ran off to play house. Zac, Zach, and Jordan grabbed their skateboards and headed for the park. That left Gwen and the guys so they went out to sit on the porch. Gwen sat on the ground and Ike and Tay took a seat on the swing. We sat for a few minutes in silence until Ike said, "Well, tell us more about yourself Gwen." "What do you want to know?" she replied. "Everything!" Taylor said jokingly.
"Well, lets see. My full name is Harmony Gwendolyn Williams, please call me Gwen. I'm thirteen, a Gemini, my birthday is May 29 1984, I'm homeschooled. I've lived previously in Forreston, Illinois for all my life, where I attended public school and was involved in cheerleading, basketball, soccer, and softball. In my spare time I like to read, play the piano and drums, rollerblade, practice karate and kickboxing and practice tumbling." There was a brief moment of silence until Taylor blurted out "Wow!" Ike picked it up "You do all that?" "Yep!" They kind of had their eyes wide and their mouths practically dropped to the floor. Gwen kind of blushed at this. "How did you get into karate and kickboxing?" Isaac asked. "Well, my brother John and I started 4 years ago with karate and I got into kickboxing with my friends, for coordination for cheerleading mostly." Through all of this, Tay was in awe. He had fallen in love with her and he only had known her for 2 hours. Taylor realized then that this would be the start of a beautiful friendship.
