Third Child of John and Margaret

3.  Thomas Sidney Curttright - He was born March 30, 1828 in Allegany Co., New York and died in the Iowa Soldiers Home in Marshalltown, Iowa on July 8, 1917.  He served in the 14th Iowa Infantry, Co. B during the Civil War. He married Lucy Arzilla Barnard (daughter of John Warren Barnard and Almira Judd) on February 12, 1850 in Nankin, Wayne Co., Michigan. Lucy was born on January 5, 1832 and died in Cedar Falls, Iowa on April 28, 1916. They had eight children.

A. Mary Evelyn (Evelene) Curttright - She was born November 6, 1851 in Michigan. She married Thomas Coffey. Mary died on 12 July 1935.

B. John Nelson Curttright - He was born December 31, 1853 in Canton, Wayne Co., Michigan and died in 1855 in Iowa.
C. John Nelson Curttright - He was born April 1, 1856 in Jones Co., Iowa. John died January 31, 1900 in Omaha, Nebraska when a rope or cable around a winch broke and struck him in the head.  He lived a few hours but never regained consciousness. He married Malinda Burgett on May 4, 1883 in Oskaloosa, Iowa.  Malinda was the daughter of Thomas Burgett and Maria Stitchler. Malinda was born on April 2, 1863 in Dubuque, Iowa.  Malinda lived a week after slipping on the floor and breaking her hip.  An x-ray showed the hip injury to be inoperable because of before then unknown, extensive cancer.  She died on July 11, 1933 in Seattle, Washington. John and Malinda had five children.

i.  Lucille May Curttright - She was born April 20, 1884 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. She married Charles Augustus Clark on July 23, 1904 in Omaha, Nebraska. Charles was born January 5, 1879 in Indiana and died January 15, 1928 in Seattle, Washington.  He was the son of Dolphus Clark and Josephine Morey.  Lucille and Charles had three children.

I.   Gertrude Clark - She was born on October 9, 1905 and died  in February 1987 in Belfair, Washington. She married twice, her first marriage was to Benjamin Fiedler in Seattle, Washington.  He died about 1955.  They had one son.

a)  Benjamin Fiedler Jr. - He was born in 1923 and died in 1944 in World War II.

Gertrude's second marriage was to Frank S. Elms. 

II.  Vernon Clark - He was born about December 25, 1908. His first marriage was to Unknown.  They had one son.

a)  Vernon Clark Jr. - He married Sheila ?.    They had two children.

            2)  Jaime Clark

Vernon's second marriage was to Barbara ?  They had two children.

            a)  Edward Clark - He married Cleone ?.    They had one child.

            b)  Gary Clark - He married unknown.  They had one child.

III  Lester Clark - He was born March 12, 1910 and died February 1985 in Kent, Washington.  He married Gwelda ? about 1950.  She was born December 27, 1916 and died June 1, 1969 after a few hours illness. An autopsy found a tumor.  They had two children.

ii. Evelyn Gertrude Curttright - She was born about 1889.  She married William R. Clark. (brother of Charles Clark who was married to her sister Lucille)  They married January of 1914 in Seattle, Washington.  William was born about 1892 in Hastings, Nebraska and died after 1964.  They had four children.

I.  Ray Clark - He was born November 18, 1914 in Washington and died on September 5, 1995 in Visalia, California.  He married Marcy ? . They had one child.

II.   Franklyn L. Clark – Born October 12, 1916 and died February 1991.  He married Rebecca ? .  They had two children.

III.  Evelyn Clark - She married Bud Wheelock.  They had two children.

iii.  John Malcolm Curttright - John was born on June 27, 1896 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He migrated to Seattle, Washington where he met his wife, Elaine Benedicta Lundquist.  They married on November 2, 1918 in Seattle, Washington.  Elaine was born on August 16, 1900 in Chicago, Illinois.  Elaine was the daughter of Charles Lundquist and Ingeborg Pehrsen.  John died on January 6, 1973 in LaSalle, Illinois and Elaine died on March 29, 1983 in LaSalle, Illinois.  They had one son.

I.  John Malcolm Curttright Jr.- He was born on June 26, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois and died on October 21, 1980 in River Bluff Nursing Home, Rockford, Illinois.  He married Quo Vadis ? about December 1941.  He married Margaret Elizabeth Kohl.  Margaret is the daughter of Vincent Kohl  and  Margaret Hevesy.    They had six children.

a) John Malcolm Curttright III  - He was born August 19, 1947 in Rockford, Illinois and died on June 3, 1948 in Rockford, Illinois.

b)  John Malcolm Curttright III - He married Marilyn Ann Kupiec.

c)  Melinda Elizabeth Curttright - She married Douglas DeVoe.  He is the son of Donald DeVoe and Edna Reynolds.  They had one child.

1)  Elizabeth Ann DeVoe - She married Scott Beem.  They had two children.

      A)  Haley Elizabeth Beem

Melinda's second marriage was to Gary Woith. 

d)  Margaret Elaine Curttright - She married Charles A. Piper Jr..  She married William Frye.  They had one child.

e)  Charles Vincent Curttright - He married Melinda Gayle Connell.  She is the daughter of  Richard and Joanne Connell.    They had two children.

iv. Charles Judd Curttright - Charles was born November 1899 in Nebraska and died February 10, 1953 in Kern Co., California.  He married Clara Johnson.    They had one daughter.

D. Elizabeth A. Curttright - She was born May 20, 1858 in Anamosa, Iowa. She married Harvey Malcolm Munger on January 18, 1802 in Fairview, Iowa. He was the son of A.R. Malcolm and Delelah Larrabee.  Elizabeth died December 18, 1930.  They had one daughter.

F.  Lucille May Curttright - Born in Iowa about 1863.  She married ? Lawrence
G. Frances Henrietta Curttright - She was born on November 24, 1869 in Anamosa, Iowa and died on May 31, 1950 in Sacramento, California. She married Will Pierce.
H. Charles Gardner Curttright - He was born June 4, 1876 in Anamosa, Iowa and died in California. He married Effie Clemens.  They had one known child.

i. Charles Kenneth Curttright - He was born January 7, 1906 in Iowa and died on December 10, 1959 in Sacramento, California.
