I would like to reaffirm my allegiance to the German language. I've missed you so much!!

I'd become rather disenchanted with it for the past year or so, thanks to a really stressful German Lit class. Now I've got Herr Winterstein, and I hear he's incredibly nice. Besides, he seems fun, and the easier level of German should allow me a much-needed review.

And by the way, I'm technically a junior. I'll just be listed as LASSUN SO on attendance lists and such because classification doesn't seem to matter when you're in the Honors College. Doesn't LASSUN SO sound like some kind of freaky lizard? Well, it could just be me.

Just a little bit about my winter break:

  • I took Sociology at HCC. Total drudgery, but I got an A.
  • I hung out with my friends. It was good seeing everyone again.
  • Susan and I saw the Harry Potter movie. WAY better than the book. What was with the ugly teeth?!
  • My mommy got me a canister of three-flavor popcorn as well as peppermint and mint chocolate chip ice cream. I love her.
  • My daddy got me a laptop. He rocks.
  • Diana rocks because she got me a gift certificate for Waldenbooks. We all know Waldenbooks rocks.
  • Stephanie moved to Singapore. That didn't rock. But I started a C-Skool Journal so she can keep track of everyone at Chinese School.
  • Jim came home, promised to write, and went back to Indiana.
  • My coworker HooveR is leaving our store. Could this be the end of the Productive Era?

Now, to set my goals for this semester:

  • To pass all my courses.
  • To make at least two A averages.
  • To reward myself with hash browns from McDonald's if I get the rest of the A's on major grades.
  • To write faithfully in all my journals--the one for German, the one for Social Psychology, the C-Skool one, my personal one, and this SADS one.
  • To write my 25-page paper for Constitutional Design before the last minute.
  • To attempt the required readings, possibly falling no more than one day behind.
  • To be on time to my first class of each day.
  • To take extra hours during Summer 2002 so I will have senior standing.
  • To go out and have fun more often. It'll be a miracle if I have time for this one.
  • Someone submit me a goal. I'm out of constructive criticism for myself.

Prod me, everyone. I really, REALLY have to do work this semester.

Ah, my pretty hash browns...soon you will be mine! $2.17 and counting...

Must have 5 to reach Second Hash Brown Goal: (three)
