Guess what?

The legends are true. The myths are for real! It's what your parents warned you about!

College textbooks are damn expensive.

Yeah, so I had to buy 3 textbooks and 10 monographs. I was ever so enthused about it! Altogether, this cost me $295.31. If I could be struck dumb, this would be the perfect opportunity. My Calculus textbook is so heavy! I hope I don't have to take it to class. I'll die. I'm not kidding.

I noticed something weird. One of my monographs, Sophocles' Theban Plays, cost me $7.50 used. But...the publisher's price on the book says $3.50. Okay, so I call the bookstore and ask one of the staff about the price. "Are you, by any chance, adjusting for inflation?" I wanted to know. The clerk said she didn't know. Hm. Something is wrong here. Wellie wellie. They also charged me less for my Astronomy book than it was supposed to cost. Hmmm.
