I was lucky enough to grow up in the same town, same house for 18 years, but of course, all good things come to an end. I've been moved out and sent to college. Baylor is an okay school--we're lacking a little bit in the diversity area. I do need to spread my wings after graduation though. Grad school in a bigger city (East coast?), away from home, Dios mediante. When I'm not studying or working, you could probably find me somewhere laughing it up with my friends or enjoying a good book--and most recently since I turned 21 at Happy Hour.
I'd just like to take this moment to say HEY to my friends. You guys make me laugh. A thousand thank you's.
On a similar mushy-gushy note: You know how they say things like life goes by in the blink of an eye, and life's a journey, not a destination? Well it's so true! When I was little, I didnt even pay attention to what was going on...I just had to hold out until Christmas or my birthday. I went through high school with my eyes set on graduation. Here I am starting college, and I'm proccupied with studying, work, and choosing a profession. When I finish college, I'll be focused on working and finding time to get married and raise some kids. At that point, I'll be counting down the years till retirement, when I'll have the freedom to enjoy life and do anything I want to until the day that I die. What is WRONG with this picture?! I don't want my life to pass me by, event by event. I want to enjoy it now...in between the birthdays and graduations and anniversaries. Stop setting your sights to the road ahead, and let yourself indulge in life as it is now, before time steals it away, never to be the same again. Life really is a journey. Don't wish it was summer; let the winter air rouge your cheeks, and be happier because of it!

2005 is going to be an excellent year, I'm convinced! Last year was a tough one, a lot of challenges, mainly losing my dad in a car accident. It's still hard to accept--one of those life changing events that just seems like a bad dream, but I'll keep his memory close to my heart always. It makes me extra thankful for my family I still have though and also reminds us our time may be up at any moment. Gotta live like there's no tomorrow!
