My Kylee, My Niece
You came into this world on the 20th of November,
It’s a day I will forever remember.
When you were making your entrance,
I watched in awe at God’s performance.
For there before my eyes was He in all His glory.
Though I try my best to tell you this story,
There is no way to describe
What I felt inside.
But even so, it’s a story I want to tell in my own way,
So that you can read it someday.
It was such a blessing to see,
And to witness the birth of my niece.
There in that hospital room,
I was praying for you.
When I saw your face for the first time,
I began to cry.
The tears that flowed I could not keep,
As emotions ran deep.
Then, we heard you cry,
When God gave you your first breath of life.
I will never forget
How much it meant
To see my angel arrive on the wings of love.
Nor will I forget holding you, a precious gift from above
When you were just minutes old,
Looking into your blue eyes, around you my heart began to fold.
I hope you always know what you mean to me.
