I have only seen this movie once. Part of the summery below is borrowed on the International Movie Database "When Blade's mother was bitten by a vampire during pregnancy, she did not know that she gave her son a special gift while dying: All the good vampire attributes in combination with the best human skills. Blade grew up to be a vampire hunter for revenge on his mother's death. The vampires, who managed to infiltrate nearly every major organization, need Blade's very special blood to summon La Miagra, the blood god, in order to gain reign about the human cattle, as they call us." (IMDB) Through the assistance of Abraham Whistler and Karen, a local nurse, he foils learns of Deacan Frost's plans to become the blood god. They are not able to stop his plans of becoming the God. However, through the use of a probable cure for Deacan and Karen, he is able to destroy Frost.
