The Servery

Bazi Tea : A beverage of leaves steeped in hot water. The tea from Bazi is very much like the orange pekoe of Urth. It is served exclusively in higher class establishments. The service of Bazi tea is a ceremonial ritual, and rarely changed.

Step #1 - you go to the fireplace to check and see that the water is boiling. If there is not enough water, refill the kettle.

step #2 - go to the sideboard and get the traditional teapot with three cups. The cups are small and delicate. The pot holds about 6 cups and is also delicate porcelain.

step #3 - take the pot to the kettle and fill it. Allow the water to warm the pot and then dump it back into the kettle. Refill with boiling water.

step #4 - take the pot to the sideboard (counter) and put in two or three pinches of leaves from the black lacquer chest inlaid with the Taverns crest (the chest contains native Gorean tea from Bazi).

step #5 - place a goodly portion of red sugar in one cup, yellow sugar in a second cup, and mixed red and yellow in the third cup.

Step #6 - take the tea and the cups to the client. Pour a cup of the tea so that the client can see the contents, sniff and look at the color to be certain it is fully brewed. Lastly, pour the second and third cups and serve each of them to the client, who will drink them in rapid succession.

BlackWine : made from coffee beans brought back on one of the early Voyages of Acquisition, this is the same as the coffee of Urth. On Gor, the beans are grown on the slopes of the Thentis Mountains. They are smaller than the originals. Blackwine is usually delivered with a small bowl of bosk cream (usually powdered) and 2 small bowls of sugar, one of Red sugar and one of Yellow sugar, or prepared at the sideboard per the patron's specifications. Plain blackwine can be had even in lower class establishments. Served steaming hot, it can also be served in the style of the desert in small cups, very hot, thick and sweet with rock sugar.

Second slave, when used referring to the serving of black wine, indicates that the consumer prefers to drink it without sugar or milk. The phrase originated from the ancient tradition of having the sugar and milk placed in the cup by one slave, after which the beverage was poured into the cup by a second slave.

Ka-la-na : A sweet wine made from the Ka-la-na fruit, available in either sweet Red or dry White varieties. This strong drink can be served warm, cool, or over ice chips. In Treve some prefer it heated to different degrees. It is made from the grapes of the Ka-la-na vines and some of the best come from the City of Ar.

Kal-da : A beverage, served hot from copper kettles, of inexpensive red Ka-la-na wine to which slices and juices of fruits, such as tospit and larma, and mulling spices such as nutmeg and cinnamon, are added. It is served in the fashion of the Sangria of Urth, with pieces of the fruits and spices floating on top of the liquid. Kalda may be less expensive than other alcoholic options. The spices and combination of fruits vary.

But make no mistake: Kalda is a Warrior's drink, not suited to the tongue of a Merchant or Scribe. It recalls the victory of Tharna of Warriors over their captors, the masked Mistresses, and should therefore always be served only in a silver goblet (to harken back to the melting of the silver masks into collars.) Be prepared to serve Kalda in great quantities to a Warrior in such a reminiscent mood!

Paga : The common abbreviated form of Pagar-Sa-Tarna, literally meaning, "pleasure of the life-daughter", Paga is a very strong alcoholic beverage distilled from the Sa-Tarna grain, and similar to nothing of Urth. It is considered by some to be symbolic of physical love. Paga is traditionally served warm, although there are regional preferences and styles. Our Paga is a rancid, lumpy brew made only for the palate of strong Warriors. In Paga taverns, there is usually a Paga attendant- a male employee, who supervises the serving of Paga by slavegirls, and collects payment for the Paga and the use of the slavegirls.

Sul-Paga : This beverage is quite different from its rancid, lumpy cousin, Pagar-Sa-Tarna. Sul Paga is distilled from Suls, rather than Sa-Tarna grain, and this strong alcoholic brew is said by some to be somewhat akin to Urth vodka of the regions of frozen north Russia. Sul Paga is a strong, clear drink.

Pot O` Chocolate : made from beans brought back on one of the early Voyages of Acquisition, this is the same as the chocolate of Urth. Hot chocolate is served in high-class establishments, as its rarity costs dearly, but it is a favorite of Master Drusus who enjoys it served with a dollop of freshly whipped bosk cream floating upon the top.

FOOD AND DRINK

The following is a list of foods and beverages commonly ordered in Gorean taverns. This is a very basic list. Some taverns have "Earth imports" as well as other "specialty items."

Beverages: Bazi tea: an herbal beverage served hot & heavily sugared; traditionally drunk 3 tiny cups at a time, in rapid succession.

black wine: coffee; traditionally served with red and yellow sugars and powdered bosk milk, and in tiny cups. "Second slave" indicates that the blackwine is to be served black.

kalana: a very potent dry white or red wine, made from the fruit of the Kalana tree.

mulled kalana: Kalana wine served warm with mulling spices and a slice of larma fruit.

kalda: an alcoholic beverage made of kalana wine diluted with citrus juice and mixed with strong spices. Served hot.

paga: a grainbased, lumpy distilled hard liquor similar to whiskey; sometimes served warm. This is the drink most often served in taverns. A variety of paga is sul-paga, an alcoholic beverage made from suls, similar to vodka.

Food:

bosk: large, shaggy, longhorned bovine similar to the Earth cow; served as beef is served.

fish : many different varieties of fish are consumed. Examples are parsit (a silvery fish having brown stripes) and wingfish (tiny blue saltwater fish with 4 poisonous spines on its dorsal fin; its liver is considered a delicacy in Turia).

kes: a shrub whose salty, blue secondary roots are a main ingredient in sullage.

kort: a rinded fruit of the Tahari; served sliced with melted cheese and nutmeg.

larma: succulent fruit, rather like a melon; sometimes sliced and fried, and served with brownedhoney sauce. The unsolicited offering of a larma, real or imagined, by a slave girl to her Master is a silent plea for the girl to be used intimately.

ramberries: small, succulent purple berries.

SaTarna: grain, specifically wheat.

SaTassna: meat; food in general.

slave porridge: a cold, unsweetened mixture of water and SaTarna meal, on which slaves are fed; in Torvaldsland, it is called 'bondmaid gruel', and often mixed with pieces of chopped parsit fish.

sorp: a shellfish, common in the Vosk river, similar to an oyster.

sul: starchy, goldenbrown, vineborne fruit; a tuberous vegetable similar to the potato; often served sliced and fried. Principal ingredient in sullage.

sullage: a soup made principally from suls, turpah, and kes, along with whatever else may be handy.

tarsk: porcine animal similar to the Earth pig, having a bristly mane which runs down its spine to the base of the tail.

tospit: a bitter, juicy citrus fruit. The common tospit almost invariably contains an odd number of seeds; the long stemmed tospit, usually, an even number of seeds.

turpah: an edible tree parasite with curly, red, ovate leaves; grows on the tur tree; a main ingredient in sullage.

vulo: a tawnycolored poultry bird, similar to a pigeon, which also exists in the wild; used for meat and eggs.

DUAL SERVE

(Cold Red Kalana)

talania{CS}smiles up at the Master, her eyes full of love, her full wanton lips upturned in a smile as she slips back from his feet, she stands at three paces distance, smiling to her sister in anticipation, her hands gliding over the curves of her womanhood smoothing gold silks to her ivory skin, she reaches out to hold her sister's hand and turns for the servery

teenah{CS} looks up to her Master, emerald eyes dancing with love and devotion. A sweet smile plays about her lips as she backs away respectfully to stand 3 paces away. She turns, grinning at talania with a wicked gleam in her eyes and takes talania's hand in hers. Together, they move to the servery.

talania{CS} weaves about the scattered furs, her dancer's body moving with agile ease, her long legs gracfully supporting her slender body, her hips swaying with an alluring seductivness occasionally hitting the soft curves of her sister, smiling all the while to her, her eyes shining with a certain familarity focused on the servery

teenah{CS} slips through the furs, body moving with a natural feline grace.... hips swaying in an open invitation to dance the world's oldest dance between man and woman. She giggles as her leather clad hip brushs against her sister's gold covered hip. She tosses her head and glances over her shoulder to her Master, playfully adding a wiggle to her step.

talania{CS} slips into the servery, casting one more glance over her shoulder at her Master, her eyes feasting on his body, she turns and smiles to her sister, letting her hand go, she turns for the cooler, her sister already moving to seek for a goblet for their Master as she disappears thru the doors of the cooler...

teenah{CS} briefly caresses shanna's back as they part, her bright eyes seeking a goblet worthy of the one who owns her heart and soul. She grins as she spots one - up on the top shelf, of course. She s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-s tall for it, body taunt, nipples rubbing against one of the lower shelves. She purrs softly as she manages to tilt it to her, catching gold and black goblet with a deft flick of her hand.

talania{CS} treads lightly onto the icy floor of the cool room, shivers running up her spine from her bare feet, she moves swiftly to the back wall, her eyes scanning the botas suspended from the pegs in the wall, her hands caressing each skin, testing the texture and fullness, she finally selects on that is well preserved

teenah{CS} craddles the goblet to her breasts and then reachs for the rep cloth. She cleans away any dust that may have settled... smiling a gentle smile as the goblet gleams like her Master's eyes when he is on a hunt. The sensuous motion of her polishing making her nipples play hide and seek with her kalmar.

talania{CS} slings the bota over her shoulder and returns to the door, dipping her hand into the ice bucket, she scoops some of the larger chips in her hand before reappearing in the servery, she walks to her sister's side, marvelling at the goblet she has found, she holds out her hand with the ice chips in it to her.

teenah{CS} smiles softly to talania{CS}, loving the way the gold silks play over her sister's beautiful body. She takes the ice chips, dropping them into the goblet; the soft clicks sounding like bells. She dries her hand on the rep cloth and takes talania's hand again, turning to walk with her back to the Master.

talania{CS} smiles, taking her sister's hand again, she walks next to her sister, her eyes to her Master as she approaches accross the hall, the light from the window streaming in, covering her sister, her redgold hair shining with unequalled beauty, her eyes lowering reluctantly as she nears her Master, her heart quickens

talania{CS} walks to Master Silveratii, hips brushing shanna's hips... with a toss of her head, she smiles into the sunlight from the window, eyes bright with love and happiness. She squeezes her sisters hand affectionately as she looks upon the Master's handsome form.... lowering her eyes respectfully as they reach him.

talania{CS} slides to her knees crawling forward to her Master's right foot, her sister's body pressing to hers, she sits up placing her firm butt over her crossed ankles, her thighs spread showing a hint of hidden treasure, her back arched pushing full perky breasts tight to her silks, hard nipples vissable thru the sheer material.

teenah{CS} releases talania's hand as she slips to her knees in fluid motion at Master's left foot. She kneels tall, lifting her chin proudly, feeling shanna's warm body so close to hers as she parts her thighs wide to invite Master's gaze to her form. She offers her breasts up with a small arch to her back. She keeps her eyes lowered, licking her red lips unconsciously

talania{CS} reachs up to her shoulder, brushing her long black strands over her shoulder, she unslings the bota, rising the cold leather along her body to her lips, lightly caressing the skin in a kiss as her strong teeth work the cork free, a slight splash landing on her lip, her hot tongue licking it dry.

teenah{CS} slides the goblet up her thigh to her slave's heat and then up her body to valley of her lush breasts, pausing at her slave's heart in love. She shivers at the touch of the chill goblet, goosebumps chasing over her body... she holds the shining goblet out for shanna to fill with the sweet red wine.

talania{CS} tilts the bota, pouring in the red liquid, the inxoticating aroma rising in her face lightening her head, but not near as intoxicating as her Master's scent, her heart beat quickens as she thinks of him, as a errant strand of black velvety hair falls over her face, framing her simple beauty.

teenah{CS} holds the goblet unwavering as she watchs her beautiful sister skillfully fill the goblet full.... watching the small ice chips play in the swirls of the sweet wine. She shivers a touch more as the goblet grows even colder in her hands.

talania{CS} straightens the bota, rising it to her lips again, she recorks it in a swift movement, pushing it in hard to prevent leakage, she lays the chilled bota to her side, well with in reach should Master wish a refil.

teenah{CS} again brings the goblet up her inner thigh to her slave's heat, gasping in the cold.... then lifting from her heat up to her slave's heart, pausing in the love of both of Masters kajirae. She twists her body to her sister and holds the goblet up for both to kiss... watching shanna as they both kiss the rim and taste for poisons.

talania{CS} leans forward, kissing the rim facing her, her eyes watching her sister's lips embrace the opposite side in a kiss, her sister's eye dancing with passion for our Master, she smiles softly, pulling back leaving a single sweet kiss of love on the rim.

teenah{CS} turns back, presses the goblet to her heart and then bows her head as she offers the goblet to their Master.

"Master, your girls bring you sweet wine so that it may quench your thirst and hope that we may quench your desires.. May this drink and your girls please you and honor you with their service. teenah and talania love you more than words can say."

That is how it is done in Castle Drusus......

Gorean Beverages

GOREAN BEVERAGES

1. Sa-Paga (also known as Pagar-Sa-Tarna) literally means, "pleasure of life daughter". It is kept in verr skin botas, normally on warming racks near the hearthfire. Sa-Paga may be served warm or cold depending on Master's preference. It is not distilled, and amber colored alcoholic beverage similar to whiskey. Sa- Paga is made from the golden sa-tarna grain, which is a staple of Gor. It is served in a clay bowl,or :crater" a black bowl with a red rim, and always poured at the Master's feet. It is a symbol of physical love. No where in any of the scrolls does it mention rancid or lumpy paga of any kind. (Scroll I page 61)

2. Sul-Paga is also to be found in verr skin botas on warming racks near the hearthfire. Unlike sa-paga it is distilled and is a clear alcoholic beverage similar to vodka. Sul-Paga is made from the golden vine borne vegetable called a 'sul'. A sul is similar to an earth potato. Sul-Paga may be served warm or cold, in a clay bowl,(crater) and is always poured at the Master's feet. As with Sa-Paga, there are no lumps or rancid sul-paga.

3. Ka-la-na is a type of wine made from the ka-la-na tree fruit. The red or ruby ka-la-na is a dry red wine. Red ka-la-na may be served hot, cold, or warm. It is served in a goblet and prepared at the servery. If you serve warm or chilled ka-la-na, use a goblet, if it is hot, then serve it in a clay bowl. If Master desires the wine cold, always ask if He desires ice shards, or chips. The cheap ka-la-na is kept in verr skin botas. The "good" ka-la-na is stored in bottles and each bottle has a wax seal from the city of Ar. Ar is the prime source for a good ka-la-na. Ka-la-na is considered to be a symbol of romantic love.
Prepared/poured in the servery. There is *no* golden or white kalana..the golden color refers only to the color of the wood/trees. However, seeing that Master is never wrong, if He asks for golden or white kalana, serve it. Use a goblet. (Scroll I page 96-98)

4. Mulled ka-la-na is the "good" ka-la-na to which mulling spices have been added, and then it is heated. To prepare: pour ka-la-na into a kettle, pull the tin of mulling spices from under the counter, add a pinch or two of the spice to the wine, heat it over the hearthfire. Serve in a clay bowl then garnish with ka-la-na or tospit fruit. Prepared/poured in servery.

5. Kal-da is the cheap ka-la-na that has mulling spices and citrus juice added. The citrus juice is made from the tospit and larma fruits. Kal-da is one of the easiest drinks to serve, for it is always to be found ready made in a small copper kettle on the hearthfire. Ladle some into a clay bowl, and garnish with tospit, larma, or tospit fruits. Prepared/poured in servery.

6. Chocolate is very expensive and rarely served. To prepare, mix the powdered chocolate with fresh bosk milk, add sugars (yellow and white), and heat in a kettle or small pan over the hearthfire. Pour and serve in small silver or red lacquer cups with clotted cream on top. Prepared/poured in servery.

7. Blackwine is another very expensive drink made from beans grown in Thentis. Blackwine is Gor's answer to the caffeine crunch, but unlike earth coffee, blackwine is extremely potent and strong.
To serve: you will find a small silver pot resting on a tiny brazier, pour the blackwine into little silver cups, and place the cup on a tiny saucer. Add white/yellow sugars, verr and bosk creams, stir with tiny spoons and serve. Think of a demitasse cup, to get an idea of the cup size. Gorean blackwine may be compared to a thick, strong expresso coffee, but more potent. Truly a warrior's drink.
Traditionally, you would add 4 tiny spoonfuls of white sugar and 6 tiny spoonfuls of yellow sugar. You need not be so specific during a serve however. On IRC Gor, if you are asked for "blackwine, second slave" this means black, no creams, or sugars. If you are asked for "blackwine, first slave" this means with creams and sugars. "Tanned blackwine" means creams only. With the potency and strength of the Gorean blackwine it will be the hearty Master who can withstand it without creams or sugar. The beans were originally brought back to Gor on the early acquisition voyages. Prepared/poured at Master's feet. (Scroll X, page 89, 105; Scroll XVI pages 244-245)

8. Bazi tea is made in a small copper pot, with 2 ounces of carefully measured tea. There is no mention in the scrolls as to the type of tea. It has been referred to by many as an herbal tea, some say it is similar to an orange pekoe. The tea is brewed then poured into 3 small glass cups that are poured at Master's feet. Neither sugars nor creams are added. The three glass cups represent the 3 moons and/or the 3 ages of man. In the better taverns, it is served on a silver tray. Most taverns use a red and black lacquer tray. Prepared/poured at Master's feet. Do not attempt to serve Bazi tea unless your trainer has instructed you in the tea ceremony. (Reference: Scroll X page 139)

9. Ta-wine is made from ta-grapes that come from the Isle of Cos. It is a dry wine, served at room temperature in a goblet. It is stored in bottles. Prepared/poured in servery.

10. Merlot wine is the only burgundy wine found on Gor. It is made from merlot grapes, served at room temperture in a goblet. It is stored in bottles. Prepared/poured in servery. This is currently trying to be found in the scrolls. It appears to be an irc drink so far.

11. Mead is a fermented wine made from honey. It is a dark amber colored potent wine. You will find this stored in a cask by the hearthfire. Tap the cask, and pour into a goblet, serve. In the northern cities mead is traditionally served in a horn. It is always a good idea to check which city you are in before serving. Prepared/poured in servery.

12. Gorean Ale is closer to a honey lager than to an earthen ale or beer. It is a deep golden color and traditionally served in a tankard. It is made from grains and hops that were brought to Gor during the acquisition voyages. Ale is kept in a cask or keg, tap the cask, let the liquid pour, recork the cask. Prepared/poured in servery.

13. Spring Water is water from the mountains or the liana vine or carpet plants from the rainforest area inland of Schendi. Serve with or without ice chips/shards and always in a goblet. Prepared/poured in servery.

14. Citrus Juice is the fruit juice from the tospit and other fruits. It is served cold in a goblet. Prepared/poured in servery.

15. Milk is another rarely asked for drink. You would serve fresh cold bosk milk in a goblet. Prepared/poured in servery.

16. Slavewine 1 is a watered down ka-la-na that is mixed with bitter herbs and given to kajirae once a month for contraceptive purposes. Her Master will give it to a girl.

17. Slavewine 2 (or breeding wine) is another watered down ka-la-na that counteracts the effect of the slavewine. It is given to a girl when a Master wants to breed her. As with slavewine, it will be given to a girl by her Master.

Gorean Meats and Viands

Food of Gor Bond-maid Gruel : also known as slave porridge. A cold, unsweetened mixture of water and Sa-Tarna meal, on which slaves are fed; in Torvaldsland, it is often mixed with pieces of chopped parsit fish ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bosk : This bovine closely resembles a Yak of Urth (visually), but is essentially identical to the Urth Cow (cattle) in other ways. It is used for many things on Gor. When a Gorean says Sa-Tassna (literally. "Life-mother") he usually refers to bosk meat; food in general. Bosk can be served roasted and sliced, or cut into steaks. Bosk cheese is firm and can be sliced, while that of the Verr is soft and can be mixed with herbs, chopped vegetables, or sweeteners and adapted to many recipes. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cosian Wingfish : Called so for its ability to fly above the waters of Thassa for short distances. Its livers are considered a delicacy. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dates : These come from the City of Tor. Red olives are a fruit grown in the groves of Tyros. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Parsit Fish : Slender, striped flakey fish, of the type added to Bond-Maid gruel. This fish is delightful when roasted in a bag made of Rence paper, and topped within it with a dollop of Verr butter, some herbs from the gardens, and sliced red Tyros olives. It is a delicacy suited to even the tongue of a high-born Mistress. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Peas : the climate is suited for growing many varieties of "peas", including baby butter beans, cowpeas, and black-eyed peas, as well as the common green gorean pea. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Ram-berries : Small, succulent berries, native to Gor. It is a staple of Gor. It is brewed into Paga. It is also ground and used to bake the Sa-Tarna Bread that is a staple food at every Gorean meal. The bread is a rounded, flat loaf that is yellow in color. It is marked, before baking, into six sections. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- S`mores : A delicacy reputed to have originated on Urth, but particularly loved by Master Wulfgar. It is prepared with ingredients kept in his exclusive stocks, called Grah`am cracker squares, small squares of the finest gorean dark chocolate, and marsh`mallows roasted to a glorious golden brown over the open firepit. The resultant dessert is delicious. - WARNING - Should not be confused with the typical cries made by drunk warriors wanting more paga! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sorp : A shellfish, common in the Vosk river, similar to an Urth oyster; like an oyster, it manufactures pearls. This can be served in a variety of ways including raw, steamed, or smoked, or in a thick fish stew. When steamed or smoked, the same serving style can be used or the shelled mollusk can be served upon a platter lined with greens. The stew is served in the traditional footed clay bowl with handles and is meant to be drunk rather than spooned by the Warrior. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sugar : Two varieties are commonly used, the Red Sugar and the Yellow sugar. It is believed that the Red Sugar is made from fruits and the Yellow Sugar from the juices of crushed cane stalks. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sul : Golden brown, starchy, tuberous root of the Sul Plant (not unlike the potato on Urth). Can be cooked and eaten. The very small eggs are cooked for the breakfast meal by frying them in a large, flat pan. It takes several birds or many eggs to make a meal for the average Gorean, and it is not unusual for dozens to be consumed by a single Warrior with a hearty appetite. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Wingfish : A tiny blue salt-water fish found in the waters off Port Kar; its liver is considered a delicacy in Turia. Served as either fried nuggets or as pate` with small squares of Sa-Tarna toast. Caution must be taken during preparation to avoid the 4 poisonous spines on its dorsal fin. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yellow Bread : See Sa-Tarna Bread. Can be butter crusted with bosk butter for a particular sheen and golden richness.

The positions outlined in this file likely has variances that you find throughout ircGor and RL. However, these are the commonly understood usages and positions taken, suitable for any kajira to be proficient in.

Its important to remember you are the eyes and ears of the one you are serving; be sure to describe your own movements, how your body lies, your skin tone, eye and hair colour, the effects of the silks you are wearing (if any), sounds, and especially, your own inner reactions that you are experiencing as you move into these positions.

Bara

21:145 A binding position. The slave lays on her belly, her head turned as she presses her left cheek against the tiles. Her legs are straight out behind her she crosses her ankles, placing her hands at the small of her back, crossing her wrists.

13:77 "Bara, Kajira!" he said. She rolled quickly to her stomach, placing her wrists behind her, crossed, and crossing her ankles, ready to be bound.

Belly

A crawling position. The slave drops down onto the floor, lying flace down she flattens her body, forehead resting flat onto the tiles. Her arms are dropped straight along her sides and her legs are widely spread.. then in this position she crawls or slithers to the Master.

19:427 "Stop," he said. "To your belly." Then I was on my belly, on the tiles, my hands at the sides of my head, prone, before his curule chair.

Blanket

13:94 Not a particular position, but rather, a condition. The Master places a blanket over the slave, which indicates that the slave shall remain still and silent beneath the blanket until the blanket is removed

13:94 I then threw the second blanket, the top blanket over her, covering her completely. When a blanket, or cloak, or covering of any sort, is thrown over a slave like this she may not speak or rise. She must remain as she is, silent, until the master, or some free man, lifts the covering away.

Bracelets

8:146 A binding postion. The slave turns her hips slightly to the side. Her back and shoulders are held erect, arms sweeping around her body to cross at her wrists in the small of her back, her head lifted it turns to the left. The slave is now positioned to have slave bracelets fastened at her wrists.

"Bracelets," he snapped. She put her head in the air and placed her hands behind her back.

Capture

19:422 Prone on the back, knees bent with feet flat on the ground, hands at the side, and motionless.

"On your back," he said, "knees raised, heels on the floor." I then lay before him, in a standard, supine capture position.

Collaring

13:74 The slave kneels at the Master's feet. Resting back upon her heels she holds her back straight, her arms held upwards over her head to cross at the wrists for binding, her head between them lowered and turned to the right, well exposing her neck to the collar. This is also known as the submission position.

Crawl

A crawling position. The slave gets down onto all fours, keeping her forearm level with the ground so that each 'step' she crawls on both elbows and palms. Butt in the air, her head is lowered so that her forehead almost touches to the ground. In this position she then crawls to the Master's feet.

Gorean Bow

9:261 The slave kneels in the nadu position (see Nadu). Her back arched she bends her body backwards, pressing the top of her head to the tiles. Her hands shift from her thighs and rest either side of her head as her back maintains its arch. This position is very painful to maintain for over 5 minutes.

Gorean Usage/SlaveSex

The slave falls to her knees and drops to all fours, her head lifted slightly as it is held straight in line of her back. Her butt is raised into the air and her thighs spread widely. This position is often a preparation for sexual use. The slave remains motionless as she waits for His command or pleasure.

Hair

12:409 There are two variations to this position: 1. The slave maintains the position she is currently in. Sweeping her hair into her hand she lifts it and offers it to the Master.

2. The slave stands, her feet flat upon the floor she bends at her waist, allowing her hair to fall forward over her face and shoulders. The Master is then free to do as He wishes, which may include displaying, shearing.. etc.

Har-ta!

This is not a slave position.. but any position or command followed by this word means to perform the position or command quickly. In the literal sense Har-ta means "quicker" or "faster".

Harness, High

21:308 Lift the head high and tilt back, exposing the neck in maximum vulnerability

Heel

9:123 The slave moves quickly to kneel behind the Master's left foot. She remains there until receiving further orders. If the Master moves, the slave is to follow him, maintaining the space from him that he indicated or permitted initially. The distance will vary according to circumstances. In a crowded market, the slave should be directly behind the Master, but in the open country with danger about, the distance can extend to as much as 20 feet

He-sleen

See shesleen.

Karta

Literally means, "on all fours", this command means to kneel and drop to all fours, arms straight and palms flat on the ground, fingers together. The slave keeps her head straight up.

Kneeling/Low Bracelet

The slave kneels, nadu or tower, her back arched, her arms extended before her crossing at the wrists. Her head lifted she drops her eyes to the tiles.

Kneeling/Low Leash

The slave kneels, nadu or tower, her back arched as she sweeps her arms behind her, wrists crossed at the small of her back. Her head turns to the left and she drops her eyes, lips often parted lightly. The slave is now positioned for the Master to leash her.

Kneeling to The Whip

7:200 This position is used for the administration of punishment. The slave kneels nadu with her head to the ground, her face turned to the left. Her arms are crossed at the wrists beneath her body. The bow of her back exposed and accessible to the Master.

Lead

The slave moves to the Master's side and bends low at her waist, sweeping her hair forward in her hand to offering it up to the Master. The Master may then lead her by grasping her hair and moving forward, holding her head low.
Once the Master has taken the hair, the slave places her hands behind her back so as to be out of the Master's way. This is a control position, the slave must move forward to remain on her feet, and can do little else.

Leasha

13:76 Head to the left, wrists behind and crossed for collaring. The position can be assumed either standing or kneeling, reference to Standing/High Leash or Kneeling/Low Leash. These variations give the Master clearer control over precisely what he wants the kajira to do, thus lessening the chances of the kajira failing to be pleasing.

Master's Kiss

(Not a slave position, but included for reference.)
The Master takes the slave's hair in hand, her neck and face to Him. He then attacks her lips with His own, biting down on the top lip and sucking and biting the lower one, continuing to kiss her lips and neck.

Nadu

13:77 This position is the most commonly used. There are many variations of it (also see Tower Nadu) but this is most standard. The slave drops to her knees before the Master (Tower Nadu before a Mistress), her thighs part widely and she rests her butt onto un-crossed ankles. Her back straight or slightly arched she lifts her chin proudly and drops her eyes submissively. Her hands should be resting palm upwards and open against her thighs. Note that this is also known as the Position of the Gorean Pleasure Slave, assuming this position tells the Master or Mistress that you are ready to serve them, sexually.

Obeisance, basic

21:409 The slave drops to her belly and crawls to the Master. Her head turns and she rests her cheek onto His feet, her arms drop to her sides, kissing and licking at His feet in complete obediance and submission. The palms are placed to either side of her head as she kisses and licks his feet. The slave continues in this fashion until the Master gives permission for her to move into the next position.

Prostrate/Suga

19:305 This position is often used in slight variation when a slave begs entry to a Tavern/Inn. She drops to her knees, either nadu or tower, and presses her forehead to the tiles. Her arms are stretched out before her, her palms face down and fingers splayed open.

She-quadruped

21:215 When a slave is commanded to perform a task in the modiality of the she-quadruped, she performs the entire task on her hands and knees. The use of hands is forbidden except in movement, and the slave may not use words, but like an animal, may be sounds. Typically a Master will direct the slave as to which sounds will mean what. For example, one whimper for 'yes' and two whimpers for 'no'.

She-sleen/He-sleen

19:434 The slave drops to her knees and elbows, forehead to the tiles and her hands clasped behind the back of her head. Her bottom is raised in the air with thighs wide-spread and she waits, ready to either be beaten or to be taken from behind and used like an animal.

Slaver's Caress/Whip's Caress

This is a method of touching a slave without warning. Usually used for a slave being exhibited for sale, exposing her slave heat to potential buyers. The Slaver usually does this using a coiled whip. The touch is typically sexual, either between the thighs, upon the breasts or buttocks, or an any other area that the Slaver deems is sufficiently sensitive and vulnerable.

Slaver's Kiss

The slave gets down onto all fours on the tiles. Her head lowers to the ground and her butt lifts high into the air, thighs spreadly widely to expose her slave heat.

SlaveSex

See Gorean useage.

Slave Lips

19:224 The slave turns her head in the direction of the Master, her lips pout and pucker, remaining motionless in that position until His kiss or some other command releases her.

Standing as a Gorean Slave Girl

Back straight, head held high, belly sucked in, hip turned, wrists crossed behind back, one leg slightly forward, foot arched, toes pointed.

Standing/High Bracelets

A binding position. The slave stands, her feet are shoulder width apart. Her head is lifted high and her eyes are lowered, her arms stretched before her, wrists pressed together.

Standing/High Leash

The slave stands with her feet shoulder width apart. Her arms sweep around to cross her wrists at the small of her back. Her head lifts and she holds it to the left, her hair drawn to that side, parting her lips slightly and lowering her eyes.

Suga

See prostrate.

Sula

13:77 The slave lies down, her back flattened against the floor she spreads her legs. Her arms are stretched down her sides and her hands rest palm upward, her eyes dropping as her head turns to face the left and she awaits the Master's pleasure.

Sula-eros

Often used for sex, bondage or control. The slave drops into sula, the difference is she bends her legs, thighs parting wider as she lifts her hips up from the floor for Master's pleasure. In irc Gor this is often called "sula-ki", which is a bizarre naming because the translation of "sula-ki" would be, simply, 'not-sula' or 'not prone on the back'.

Submission

The slave kneels, bending at her waist she places her cheek to the floor. Taking the Master's right foot she places it upon her neck, her arms sweeping behind her, crossing at the wrist against the small of her back. This is also considered an Obeisance.

Submitting to the Collar

The slave kneels, nadu or tower, and tilts her head to the left and brushes her hair back in that same direction to bare her neck, then extends her arms forward towards the Master, with wrists crossed.

Table

The slave drops to her hands and knees, locking her elbows she straightens her back smooth and level, her head held high. The position is used, as the name suggests, to use the kajira as a table.

Tower Nadu

3:46 The slave drops into nadu (see Nadu) but her thighs are closed. There are several variations regarding the slaves hands, palm upward, palm downward and wrists crossed are commonly accepted as being correct. If not commanded otherwise, default to palms downwards upon the thighs, indicating that the kajira is not available for sexual usage. Crossing the wrists conveys the message that the slave is begging to be restrained, and perhaps even collared. The slave's back is always straight in Tower, her head also facing straight forward.

Whip

A punishment position. This position is very similar to bara (see Bara) the only difference being.. The slave rests her buttocks onto her crossed ankles, her torso leans forward to press breasts to the ground. This stretches her back to perfection, her arms stretched before her, her head turned to the right. The back and buttocks are then exposed to the Master's will.

Whip's Caress

See slaver's caress.

Note: You may notice duplications in some of the above information. The text files were collected from many different locations, and while there is some repetition, there is a different presentation and interest in detail. Whenever possible I have listed the volume and pages of the direct text from the Gor novels to substantiate my information and placed them in italics to differentiate from my own personal interpretations...Amaneris
